Cute concept, nice execution. Nothing magical, but I love the inspiration.

Time management and terrible ai are what people will talk about. Unmatched atmosphere is why people will talk about it.

The creative liberties they took prevented the slowness of the actual war seeping into the gameplay. Perfectly fast, hectic, and solid game feel. With an excellent consideration into immersion with soldiers speaking their native tongues as they shout in terror and the hell on Earth look of the trenches, I'd say despite the game not being for everyone, nobody can contest the fact that the developers cared to put their all into a rare game about that other world war.

Older patches of this game are probably what we should show aliens when they land down and ask why we're here.

My little brother's favorite game, and for good reason. It oozes with personality and is suprisingly tight in its controls. I've only played Tommy and only will play Tommy because I love his severed head and brain totems that support the team. PS Triple brain totems can stunlock enemies, even bosses, if you set it up right. Also his team combo, being the mech, literally deletes bosses so that's awesome. It's definitely worth a play.

After playing it when it dropped, I finally have all achievements in this game as of today. It's a cute little game, I love that your save transfers into the real game, but it's kind of a waste of time, unless you're a real DR fan that is interested in looking at this relic of a bygone era of design philosophy in both gameplay and marketing strategy. Biggest con is that it has to be paid for.

One of my older brother's favorite games growing up. We played through the co-op campaign as adults and some versus modes. Found the story to be pretty bad and boring, although funny in one part where you save floating pngs of kids that are just so out of place. Vs is the saving grace, because several of the tanks, like the flippy tank and the hover tank, are incredibly fun to try and get better to use when fighting each other. Worth the time playing but not worth more unless I have gamer friends over.

Would be a perfect game if it weren't for Funny Bone City. Otherwise, game with literally unmatched charm and intrigue. Characters are interesting and almost instantly personable. I'd argue that some characters need more screen time, but perhaps the lack of too much content prevents it from getting stale

I am the world's best player of this game (I hold the world record speedrun) and let me tell you it's definitely worth 1 dollar and 50 minutes of your life

Best game I've played in my life. You will shit bricks on the alternate ending. If you don't, that's okay too

Played with my 2 little brothers. Had a very interesting dynamic with the ever changing roles which gave it a nice sense of progression. The simplicity limits its ability to do crazy things but accomplishes its job as being approachable. Big fan of the aesthetics of each level, especially the levels with pumpkins in them. Very well designed but not life changing.
