As a newcomer fan from the series I got little to no nostalgia for this title, so I did not jumped on the bandwagon of “B-but mwa game got ruineeeeed”. So given I have no reference from the original DS titles I can judge this as it is. A standalone pokemon title and… oof. It a pretty meh one at that, the graphical overhaul I think is fine and all of the gym leaders carrying objects and competitive pokemon are a nice twist to be added, granted I could never overlook the fact that it felt like I was playing a 2008 game with a 3D texture pack in how slow and intuitive it felt in some areas, overall not bad but not impressive

Another Mario game that I feel as though has a lot of personality to it, which is really impressive for a GameBoy game. The level variety is super interesting for Mario standards (I really love the space world), And we can't forget the introduction of my man Wario. All around a really solid platformer. If it had better bosses it might be one of my favorite Mario games of all time

Remarkable little platformer! A worthy successor to the first game and I found myself surprised with how well it's held up, despite the occasional issue or two.
