Only the mediocre gameplay hinders this from becoming one of my favorite games of all time. The storytelling is sublime and will hopefully inspire many other developers.
If this doesn’t get a sequel I do not want to live on this planet anymore.

After a long back and forth I have finally finished the main quest and was left somewhat disappointed. The finale and epilogue are very anticlimactic and just feel like an intermission.
Of course there’s still plenty of quests to do but the main narrative should bring a bigger sense of accomplishment.
The game however just invites you back again from time to time. The main gameplay loop is just very good and the world amazing.
My biggest gripe is just that it feels way too bloated. There’s too much stuff to do, too many places to go and you can easily get lost. I’d prefer if assassin’s creed games got smaller in the future.
