You play as a Vibrator

This game really had no right to fail like it did, It stands itself as another GameCube Classic. Since some of the developers that worked on Moon: Anti RPG Adventure worked on this, the whole game has the same structure. Going out to explore a whole house as a small robot with little to work with, plenty of things to do and find is a wonder in this game. This is enhanced by the goofy sound effects as you walk around, the way characters talk with gibberish, to even cleaning the house, Chibi-Robo is extremely charming.

It starts pretty simple, you are funi robot who cleans and helps with family. The more you get into it though, there's a whole narrative going on with a lot of side quests surprisingly keeping you engaged (for the most part). The game smartly does this by making you explore other areas if you're not sure what to do in the story, inciting you to check out what else is happening in the house. Each character, both the humans and the toys, have eye catching moments going on, and the story gets weird weird!

My critiques of this game are heavily outweighed by how charming this game is, but its worth to note! Finding out where or what to do can be a bit confusing at times, often requiring the player to walk and climb areas where they might not be always visible. Running out of time right before or in the middle of doing something can be a small bit annoying, even with the limited electricity you're given.

The Space Scrambler Mission.

100%ing a game is rare for me but i love "Chibi-Robo!" so much, it just pains how much more polished it feels compared to the more recent entries : /

Here's hoping for a remaster :)

Don't let the name fool you, this game isn't homophobic!

This game takes inspiration from Symphony of the Night with its 2d artstyle and environment, but manages to do its own thing entirely. Its combat mainly uses knife throwing as attacks and special attacks costing MP. The thing that REALLY makes this game though is its time mechanic.

This game lets you pause time and lets you take advantage of combat and platforming. This makes Luna Nights so special, because what makes a decent challenge turns into so many different creative ways you can take out enemies and bosses. You can even skip parts of the level by using later abilities which is awesome and makes for an engaging game. The music in this game is also really damn good. If any Touhou game has music like this, then i'll definitely check out the other games.

Touhou Luna Nights is a spectacular experience that I can already tell is gonna be repayable for me, It offers genuine challenge, and besides a few times running back to other areas and the occasional spike in difficulty, and a weakish story, its something a lot of fans of MetroidVanias are gonna really love, even for people that don't play Touhou games.
