Bro how is this one of my all time favourite games now. I didn't know I could be nostalgic for ds graphics. This was so cute and genuinely fun despite how simple it is. The controls and gliding mechanic as well as fishing and using other tools was sooooo satisfying. When I first got on the boat I was like: "I bet this things gonna be slow as hell", and then that thing frickin' flew! The bit at the end made me tear up too. I'm definitely coming back to play this as a comfort game.
I finally beat this game after shelving it for like a year. I was SO close to the end so I had to relearn the skills and gameplay to beat like 4 more main bosses. Why do I always do that?!
Anyway this game is awesome. It's meant to be infuriating but I never felt like I was cheated. I think the open world aspect helps with that. The game is so pretty despite it's horrifying monster designs. It's probably the best looking game I've ever played technically speaking, and the world has lore and history baked into it's soul. The only complaint I have is that this game punishes you a bit for trying out new weapons, especially in the late game. Other than that it's perfection!

The ending was so funny but maybe it's cause I'm high. Very clever game but often the gameplay itself wasn't engaging enough for me to not think of how boring some of the games were, unlike Inscryption. I'ts funny that this guys style is just super "meta" games. More fun than pony island imo.
