i think this is the first time i ever neglected my own life for a video game and i want to go back
i played it after oras and oras is better, though wallace was a more fun champion i think
yall lied sinnoh's always just been an okay region
kanto but badass, the team i used would be the team id have if pokemon was people
yeah i like it better than black 2 SO WHAT
yknow its really depressing that this one's number 2, but what's even worse is that on a good day it'd probably be number 1
the memories i had with this one carry it for me, i cant bring myself to dislike it
for my first pokemon game i remember it so much more fondly, now it makes me sad
playing this all the way through on a roadtrip to universal studios was what i needed in my life at that time and id kill for that feeling again
but like, it's still pretty fuckin good
playing this directly after scarlet gave me an appreciation for how simple the series was, it ALWAYS was open world
games start getting actually bad from this point what the fuck happened
this was the last time i went through a pokemon game with childhood nintendo fan ideologies and that gives it an edge over everything else

i found a shiny male ralts randomly in the first hour of playing, so
its better than the ogs FUCK YOU
they not only force you to use gen 2 pokemon but the worst of the worst gen 2 pokemon, thats fun
a foolish version of me said this was better than firered at one point, i have now played firered
its like colosseum if it was GOOD
