I started this just to test out the Enhanced Edition and 6 hours later I was crying because of the letter all over again. As an experience, I think its basically perfect. An absolute masterwork of storytelling. Still haven't played Born From a Wish.

Still one of the best feeling 3D platformers I've ever played. Just moving around in this world feels incredible. The combat isn't great but there isn't enough of it to cause a problem. Replaying it now that they've added a map just makes me appreciate it more.

If this was either just the Nero segments, or if Dante had some original levels, this would probably be at least the second best DMC game. Sadly, the second half is so unfinished and repetitive that if Dante hadn't felt so good to play this game would be much lower. Him only getting like seven stages to play while Nero comes back for the final two is really funny. I think Bloody Palace is what will save this game for me in the long run because it just feels so incredible.

I keep trying to think of ways to describe how I feel about Rebirth but I just can't manage to put it into words. This is truly a generational experience. I spent so much time just scraping the map and doing absolutely everything I could. Everything after the point of no return was truly special and the way they left things has me craving more. This is my favorite party of any RPG I've ever played. Barret absolutely stole the show. I cannot praise John Eric Bentley enough. I've been saying for a while that the Dyne section was really going to hurt in Rebirth, but I wasn't expecting them to prove me right that hard.

The ending took me a bit to fully wrap my head around, but now that I have I am scared of what they might be teasing in the future. I can easily see a timeline where the party turns on Cloud at some point or he just becomes a villain for part of the story. I fully expect the timelines to converge at some point though, I won't be surprised if Cloud's Aerith shows up for the end of part 3, I think it would be cool for her to come back to fight Safer Sephiroth. I need to know what they're doing with Zack. Him being stuck in limbo feels like a threat and I don't know why. They're cooking something and it scares me.

Elec Man's music is pretty good. Fuck the Wily Stages.

This is a terrible version of a really great game. It is so incredibly ugly and buggy that it just hampers the experience. I was able to choke it down and get through the game, but I still wouldn't recommend it. Play the original.

Absolutely the best way to play this game.

It's fun and has incredible vibes, that's about it. Neat.

Man, this game is so fucking good. Its pretty damn close to my favorite shooter of 6th gen. It also emulates really well so go play it!

Its not scary in the slightest and there really isn't anything to the gameplay or story but at no point was I upset while playing it so that's gotta count for something, right?

This is pretty close to the Robocop game I've always wanted. It nails the tone and writing of that original movie so perfectly. It deals with the human side of Robo in such a perfect way. It also helps that the combat feels fucking incredible. If it wasn't so janky, this would have been damn near perfect. If I had actually gotten around to playing this last year it would have easily been on my GOTY list.
