It's so exciting to see more games and studios try the HD-2D/pixel style, and approach it in a different way to games like Octopath Traveller. The upgrade systems and IC/Specialty structure was so fun to mess around with, and there were always enough points flowing in to be constantly getting some sort of ding-boy gratification from upgrading my party members. While I found the story around the major villains a little lacking, this is a remake of a much older game - so I can understand not wanting to add too much new to the recipe. Nevertheless, I hope to see other titles in the series get this same gorgeous treatment - Till The End of Time, please!

I had a lot of fun with Ishin, and it was fun to experience one of the titles we'd never seen in the English market before. I found the ending dragged out a bit for me, but I enjoyed accidentally learning a bit about Japanese history!

I'd never played a Pikmin game before reviewing 4, but it was a great time. A bunch of quality of life improvements really tighten up the experience, and the lack of a harsh deadline to work with makes the experience a lot more welcoming!
