Such a scam that I never properly saw the end of Jahan's story because he just disappeared before the demon he spent both games chasing appears (sucks that you have to have a certain character recruited to see it.).

Was going to rate 2.5 but then remembered how much Jahan hated imps and needed to raise it by 0.5

Requires games for windows live. That is all.

While it has its issues with the gameplay and some 'day-to-day' moments being quite lack-luster it makes up for it in those moments which end up being my fav of all time, containing the best ending to a game I've ever seen with the 'true ending' and was an amazingly conclusion to the series which developed across the former 6 (8) titles.

While on the weaker end compared to other titles in the Rance series when it comes to writing it still comes off strongly with its non-linear story and shines through in its gameplay, being the strongest in the series in that regard and quite a joy to explore as you play through it.

The best of the Paradox grand strategies in its ability to develop a proper economy and show the progressing warfare of the era pretty well with techs, even if the game does become far too defense focused making it hard to push late game. The depth this game has is quite amazing but it's not particularly hard to understand on a surface level compared to the other grand strategies which require a bit longer to pick up. The main drawback of this game is the AI is pretty bad in this game, in war and nation building but it seems like that's the norm for these type of wider strategy games these days.
