Amazing game

Love the way they made Spidey feel, just an incredible experience all around and a great take on the various heroes and villains featured in this game. Had a bit of Open World isms in it, but it's done tastefully enough that I didn't really mind it overall.

Haven't played much of this game but I can tell it's going to be great. The humor and writing is right up my alley.

bad collection of good games.

if this is how you want to play the classic series, that's fine by me, but personally I just have better more fun ways to engage with these games with more options, and a better drop dash lol.

Cutscenes are nice though.

Cool Fallout Style from the actual creators of Fallout, the themes are definitely what I enjoy the most from the game, though the gameplay is alright as well. I need to get back to it but for now I enjoyed what I saw from the first few planets.

I could rant about this game for a long time if I wanted to, but I'll just keep it brief here.

The card system sucks and is either boring if you know how to play or frustrating if you don't, the story is mostly pointless and the retelling of the disney worlds really isn't that interesting. Music is pretty good but that's par for the course with KH.

Overall I just don't think I'll ever come back to this game, it was way too grindy and plodding for my liking.

What a comeback! If Streets of Rage 4 was an A, this is a genuine S+!

Tee Lopes did an amazing job on the soundtrack, and every vocal track was an absolute trip (shout outs go Johnny Atma for his amazing performance!)

The pixel itself was pretty good, but it was just incredibly charming. Gameplay was on point too, an absolute delight to play and with a full party the game somehow manages to still stay perfectly playable. One of this year's highlights and honestly made me want to go back to TMNT and see what I've been missing out on.

It's Pac-Man. What else is there to say? The digital arcade frontend is cute enough (though I do miss the museum aspect of the previous collections...), and the games are emulated quite well. The achievements are probably what's going to keep you busy for the longest time, but i personally just wasn't into them. The Ms Pac-Man stuff is a bit of a bummer, but at the end of the day it doesn't really affect the games themselves. A shame Ms Pac-Man itself couldn't be on the collection due to all the legal bullshit though. This game could have really popped off if they just added more games via dlc or something but they didn't, kind of a bummer. As it is though, the collection is fine and a good way to replay a lot of these classics.

Cute little pinball adventure, it was a lot more in depth than I could have imagined honestly, and the concept of a pinball Metroidvania is honestly very unique and fun!

Will need to play more eventually, it's a good turn off your brain and relax kind of game.

Dotemu does it again! This revival of the Streets of Rage series was a lot of fun with friend, and all the little flourishes they added to make it slightly more in depth compared to your average beat em up. The visuals were insane, the music was on point, the fanservice was a nice added touch as well. A fun time with friends for sure.

Best experience I'm probably going to have with Black Mirror, the way they use the medium to tell this story makes this really unique. The game hits all the vibes it needs to and is a perfect period piece. The narrative was pretty strong, Colin and Stefan were incredibly fascination characters.

I only wish there was more to it, which if anything, is more of a praise than a criticism. Anyone looking for an interesting meta narrative experience should try Bandersnatch. Especially if they're into the period of gaming portrayed here.

View Vampire Savior 1 Review

Oh hey, the final Darkstalkers game! This should be a slam dunk, right?

Well, as far as this game is concerned, it is! They had to cut a couple characters to fit within the restrictions of the CPSII board, but the gameplay improvements and the brand new characters more than make up for it.

The new super modes that the characters can enter, as well as every characters getting brand new moves, and the dynamic round system makes this Darkstalkers one of the more unique 2D fighters of the era. Too bad the updates to this game are a complete mess.

So you want to play as the characters Night Warriors/Vampire Hunter? Okay, play the updated Vampire Hunter 2 game which is just the cast of Vampire Hunter inside of Darkstalkers 3. What if you still want to play as some of the new characters from Darkstalkers 3 then? Well, you have Vampire Savior 2, which is the same game with the gameplay tweaks that that Hunter 2 added, with 3 less popular characters from Savior 1 removed in place of adding back the new characters from Darkstalkers 3, but keeps the cut characters from Darkstalkers 2.

Sounds confusing? That's because it is. What this all boils down to is that you basically end up with three separate versions of the same game with a slightly different roster with specific characters cut out of each version to make some space for other characters.

If they could have just moved this game to the CPS3 Board, it would have solved a lot of headaches for the team, and the players. As it is, even with how awesome Darkstalkers 3 is on it's own, the truncated cast feels like a glaring blemish on an otherwise fantastic game.

Just gonna log this as the Netflix Trivia game instead lol.

The Animation on that thing was amazing, and the humor was alright, but the actual trivia part of the game just wasn't that great sadly. You either get incredibly basic stupid answers, or insane shit that asks you to bust a thesaurus, either that or you need to know the size of George Clooney's penis, which as it turns out; I don't!

At least the different animations means that the animators got the most out of this setting and concept. Wish there was a way to just pick which scene you want to replay but as it is you can always just watch the animations you didn't see on Youtube.

If this was just a cartoon, then it would probably get 4 stars, but the game elements do honestly bring the experience down. It really should have been a Dragon's lair style experience, or since Netflix literally supports the option, a choose your own adventure game.

And here we are. Marvel Vs Capcom 1

Mechanically, not all that different from Marvel VS Street Fighter, but the devil really is in the details. The charm factor is on overdrive compared to the previous entries, with the assist system being introduced to cram even more Capcom and Marvel characters than the ones featured in the roster. In the Marvel side of things, a couple new faces were introduced here, but really the Capcom side is where the fanservice really is. Captain Commando, Strider, Jin from Cyberbots, Megaman, etc... so many good picks.

Such a fun game, too bad Onslaught is such a bullshit final boss, kind of spoils the fun of the arcade mode. At least the other extras make up for it.
