One of the best stories I’ve played in a video game, right up there with Red Dead Redemption 2. Only thing holding this game back from a 10 for me is the random goons you have to fight on the street get annoying after awhile and the combat got a bit stale for me.
Would have also liked a proper quick save feature, I learned the hard way and lost a good bit of progress because I didn’t have time to play for an extra hour and I didn’t expect the game wouldn't let me save for the next hour. Bosses also got a bit stale and all they would do is add more health to make a boss harder.
But the game is worth it just for the story alone. The Two playable characters are amazing and there are so many twists and turns in this game where I was in disbelief.

The Combat can get a bit monotonous at times and the side quests are a bit useless but Mass Effect has some of my favorite lore in any piece of media. It’s just so interesting.
Idk if I just burnt myself out or what but I just thought this was too long. I was really loving it and the battle of Kaer Morhen is where I thought it should of ended but you have a couple more hours of gameplay after that. Would have been a 9 or 10 out of 10 for me if it ended after Kaer Morhen but I think I just got tired of playing this to be honest and I pushed myself to finish it.
Haven’t played this game since 2018 and ever since I finished it I’ve wanted to play it again. Finally got back around to it and this is the only game I’ve played so far where there are several flaws but the characters and story are some of the best in any media I’ve ever consumed. Sure the game is heavily scripted but the story wouldn’t have been so great if it didn’t do that. The most beautiful game I’ve ever played with a story that is definitely in my Top 5 all time across any media.
