It's great being able to play Super Mario 64 without wanting to kill yourself because of how bad the camera and controls are

EDIT: I still can't the red coins on the wing cap level

This was the first game where I realised as an 8 year old child that yes, games can be shit.

Kind of standard auto-runner game pulling clear inspiration from other auto-runners of its time like Flappy Bird and Chrome Dino (use Firefox please).

The sound effects and art direction are solid, reminding me of those ZX Spectrum games I still haven't played with exception to our Maradona's favorite Fuck You Die Get Stabbed Piece of Shit Asshole Game game, and the game itself honestly does everything I can think of an auto-runner can do at this point, aside from having some kind of non-important plot like in Miles & Kilo. They're usually fairly simple games. This one's like that. No plot in this one. It doesn't need one.

My only real issue with it is that sometimes when you're in hitstop from making contact with an enemy and need to jump because you're also trying to avoid spikes on the ground, the game will eat your jump input and you'll take damage. :(

Fine enough little game though.

Objectively the greatest of the entire series, and with the DLC is now functioning pretty well as a semi-anthology. Why Nintendo in the Switch era makes this and SSBU, but releases the worst and most bare bones Mario sports and party games in history, I'll never understand.

I decided to wait as long as I could to review but after a month and a half I can fully say this was a terrible launch and you can tell this game was not finished. Gameplay wise it is fantastic but there is no ACTUAL new content to warrant this being a sequel.

Plus co op (which was a big thing they advertised) isn’t even available at launch and isn’t coming until sometime next year. Maybe I’ll come back to it but overall the progression sucks and the store is somehow worse even without the loot boxes. 2/5 only for gameplay purposes

A classic. Don't have a whole lot to say about it, but all Mario Kart games are great fun to an extent. It's just that later entries in the series have much more content so its hard to go back to older games.

I will kill myself if I get another 'Just OK'

As of writing, I have only played through platinum on PokeMMO, so I can imagine different games will have different mechanics which will effect the legitimacy of some of the points I make. If I ever decide to go back to this review then I’ll add that.

PokeMMO feels like a enhanced port of the Pokemon games which many people consider the “best ones”, with MMO features added to make the experience slightly more interesting. A lot of it is streamlined, and there is some good QOL I appreciate (though I disagree with the micro-transactions required to purchase the HM flutes, they have to make their money somehow but I feel like cosmetics cover that). Also, I noticed some changes to battling that I appreciated (such as the overhauled giratina fight which actually makes it feel intimidating). However, it lacks some some side content from the games which previously provided a nice break from the experience. Additionally, I dislike how PokeMMO places a focus on competitive systems (like EVs, IVs and natures) without streamlining the process (from what I’ve seen, anyway). Making a competitively-viable Pokémon is an absolute nightmare in most games and PokeMMO does not take any strides to reduce the issues, which I personally find to be disappointing. For the time being, I can recommend PokeMMO as a fun way to re-experience some of the games, but it doesn’t become the definitive way to play these games because of the issues stated. Still, if the team is able to rectify the lack of content in some areas, I can see this becoming my favourite way to play these games.

Have played multiple times and will probably replay it many more.

I tried the original release on PS4 but couldn't get far because it's the family PS4 and everyone else uses it. But I'm glad the game is on PC now. I loved combat, exploration, story, and upgrades. It does so much very well. Can't wait for Miles on PC soon.
