this is how you tie up everything and end off a Saga? Well, Chronicles I guess, certainly not Gears.

But yeah, I really enjoyed this DLC, Matthew is such an brash idiot (affectionate), he felt so refreshing as a lead. the combat just flows so well, might even be the best combat we had. the music is such a step up compared to base game. the fanservice is so perfect here (for the most part), and a lot of the new (and somewhat improved) ideas and mechanics, I don’t have much to comment on, it was neat.

But yeah, this certainly was the Xenoblade Chronicles

How come they never brought back mushroom city or even paratroopa, what is their deal

Had to double check if it was still peak (it is)

For a game I wish had more time in the oven, let alone a sequel that got cancelled, it’s still fun, though it could be nostalgia, as I had many memories with this game exposing to me online forums and made so many memories there, especially in a rough year of my life. It just awakened so many memories though it also made me realize how GameFreak was trying to flex the 3DS hardware in 2013 for the amount of camera angle the game takes, it is impressive for it’s time. Yet it still feels empty in a lot of areas, especially with the story and leveling.

i became this game's virgin sacrifice

I cried
Someone give my man’s a break, he’s been through enough

Also that final fight was peak

This is a game about forgiveness, friendship, perseverance, learning how to love, and living life to the fullest

Yes, i do agree the story isn't perfect, the ending felt rush, but I am willing to look past the flaws because of how this personal the themes are to me. I love the new cast of characters and seeing 7’s cast return

I love the social commentary of how corrupt the american police are, the homelessness issue, and online influence hiding the truth or doing anything as if it’s a popularity contest

I love how streamlined the gameplay is, it feels so much rewarding getting attack bonuses and making use of location based action Like a Dragon 7 tried to do, I love the flourish of content added, Dondoko Island is so high quality it just feels like RGG Stduios made an Animal Crossing game and succeeded. Kiryu’s bucket list and the substories fit so well within the games themes and it was nice seeing past characters come by again. All the new minigames, while I don’t have much to say about them, are pretty fun too.

I just love this game. I have been going through a lot in my personal life as of late and this game came at such a perfect time, it’s so fun and the messages really hit home to the point that it’s my favorite game of all time. I am really looking forward to how Like a Dragon 9 turns out.

If you played Yakuza: Like a Dragon/Like a Dragon 7 and loved Ichiban, you will love him even more with this.
