I thoroughly enjoyed the Captain Toad levels in Super Mario 3D World so when Nintendo announced and released a dedicated game based in that concept it was music to my ears (plus I believe this is the first game with Toad as a protagonist, about time!).

The game overall revolve a diorama-like setting where the player needs to rotate the environment and make use of different switches, platforms, steps, etc. to collect stars and complete the levels. For the most part, the levels are on the easy side but there is an added challenge of collecting all the items in each level. The story is surprisingly good in a charming way with a "twist" included.

This is a very pleasant and charming game, very worth owning if you enjoy relaxing puzzle games.
