This game highlights best the horror game effect where they are mostly scary at the start. Then once the magic goes away and you're left with the gameplay alone its actual quality gets tested. The gameplay loop of lurking around, hiding, and managing inventory space isn't the most satisfying thing in the world. Thankfully, the game is extremely contained and doesn't totally overstay its welcome. The story you can put together from the notes is pretty simple to put together and understand. I think the final area is really cool. This game is really the perfect size to me. I generally find myself wanting to tear my hair out with survival horror mechanics but this one walks a real fine line.
