It is a common misconception that Prometheus stole the secret of fire from the gods. In actuality it was this absolute masterpiece of a videogame, which the gods saught to keep hidden from us.

On a serious note, Hollow Knight and its small team of developers both represent a resounding victory against the current state of the gaming industry. No microtransactions, not even close to a triple-A price tag with more quality content than one, beautiful art direction and exceptional gameplay. Not to mention all the DLC, all of which are peak quality and packed with additional content, are free.
And unlike the inhabitants of Hallownest, there are few bugs to be found. Hollowknight, in my humble opinion, overshadows all other metroidvanias on most levels and will forever be one of the few games that deserves a perfect 5 star review and also one that is serious.

Even if it is not your kind of game, it is a resounding victory for all game developers that are like Team Cherry. Bravo.

"You can either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain."

This infamous quote came from the developers of Endless Space 2 after they saw me play their game twice. No matter what I do, no matter what I say I'll play as. Ultimately it boils down to me rushing to unlock Corecrackers and Obliterators to go on a system cremating crusade across the galaxy in an unending quest to dominate the cosmos. This game teaches a valuable lesson in morality, integrity and the futility of fighting your own nature. The feeling of your friends discovering and tracing back a long path of obliterated planets to your territory, truly is "peak" as some would say and the cutscene of a planet blowing up never gets less entertaining.

Through this game, I have proudly taken up my seat alongside other galactic tyrants such as Sheev. And perhaps I have even become the worst of them all. Only time will tell.

The gods of Olympus are known for cruelly punishing several figures of humanity for their hubris throughout history. I am one such man and for my unrivaled arrogance I was thrown into the pits of Tartarus to play Warframe for a few weeks. After the experience I felt much akin to Sisyphus, who had to roll a boulder uphill, only for it to roll back down to the bottom when he reached the top.

Only as such can I describe what it feels like to play this "Warframe". Luckily, unlike the Greek figures of old and coincidentally also unlike the grind in this particular game, for me it came to an end.
