Way too long for a Metroid game as difficult as this--perhaps the most difficult game in the series both in the game design and the 3DS system. Hands get a bit cramped with long play sessions that require heavy use of the shoulder buttons, the slippery stick, the touch screen, and all face buttons.

But! This was MercurySteam's first foray into the Metroid franchise and they knocked it out of the park with sheer quality. You can see where the buttery-smooth Dread controls game from and it's wonderful from minute 1 all the way to the last, 3-phased boss fight.

This might be one of the greatest remakes of all time. I loved the action, the in-engine set pieces, the ending, the graphics, just about everything except the length; cut that metroid count by half and it wouldn't been flawless.

Between this, Dread, and the Prime Remaster, Metroid has never been in a better state. I'm fully back in on this franchise and plan to get all of the titles under my belt.

Did Ridley really have to be there though?

Baller game with far too many connection issues.

This game was interesting.
I got the game thinking it was gonna be a fun good platformer and it is a very good platformer but I felt like the combat for the game was horrible and felt so jank, Although the art for it was very different I cannot say it was suitable for my taste but it was fun when I first got the game

it's cool at first but the last 25% is like anti-fun

beat the final boss, still haven't used any of my rune arcs because what if I need them later
