I beat the main story but I did not 100% the game. Way too much to be 100 percenting. The classic overused Browser takes Peach trop is used here again so I don’t think this is really worth being called a serious story. As for the controls there is so much you can do with the new mechanic crappy. Mario feels so smooth. You can make such fat jumps with it and parkour so far up. Vertical and horizontal movement is amazing. The places you explore however were very small. It was frustrating. The boss fight might be the best one in the Mario series up there with Galaxy.

I should not be giving this a 5 star but the story IS SO GOOD. I have a lot of nostalgia for this game, use to play it all the time. The characters you meet all have a story. Besides background characters no one is 1 dimensional. Everyone has a reason why they do what they do. Creating your character you make who you want to be. Over time you get lots of options of what you want do, you could be a morally correct person, someone chaotically good, someone justifiably good it’s your choice. You gain dark side or light side points for the choices you make however it doesn’t lock wither or not you get a dark side or light side ending. The only thing lacking is the combat. As I got old the more boring it got. I hope the remake improves on the combat but leaves the story alone.
