Quite pretty to look at but the combat really fell flat for me.

I adored this game. Super chill, impeccable vibes. I loved that despite the dystopian setting, almost all of the stories are ones of perseverance and hope. I wish it had even more content because I just loved chilling in the world, meeting these characters.

Fantastic improvement over the first one in my eyes. I really felt like they just got rid of all the stuff I hated in the first one.
In the first one it felt like the inevitable failed runs had huge consequences and pretty much no benefit. Then you'd have to go through your gigantic rolodex of heroes to try and find a team that worked and probably fail again. It was both a slog, and it felt bad because you would lose all the time with no benefit.

Turning this into a run based roguelite with meta-progression basically fixes all this. You build your team, go on a run, fail or succeed to benefit from the meta-progression, so it doesn't feel depressing when you're losing and a huge bummer when you die cause you gain nothing, like in the first one.

Anyway, I had a great time, if you liked the first one but had similar problems with it that I did, check this out. If you didn't like the first one, maybe you'll like this one, it's pretty different except for the vibes and basic mechanics of the combat.

Fun little game, but I really wanted to spend more time doing the restaurant management stuff and less of the diving. Both were fun but I just felt the balance was off, I'd spend so much time diving and catching fish for what felt like a far too brief bit of time doing the restaurant stuff.

Some fun stuff in here, but I was overall disappointed. A bit too janky and you can't play as the sumo wrestler off the bat which is honestly the main reason I wanted to play it.
