- this one needs tinkering before it can run on steam deck. Deck Verified is hugely misleading.
- there are more jp than voice en lines. So select the jp option from the start
- Anime girls. Kinda of cool tho
- VN first, jrpg second.
- Some VN parts are really well made and i can give it that while most are trash to fill up the 40+ hr playtime mark
- dungeons are poorly made
- combat is fun but gets boring quickly
- AI enemies are super dumb
- i find it so discouraging to continue.

it definitely needs to be more polished and improve its QoL features.

Awesome art, tho.

2020

- generic but perfectly executed
- exploration focused and i really loved it (not much of action or platforming)

Puzzles after puzzles to the point it threw me off immediately! Otherwise, this would be a great experience. There should be a better balance between puzzles and story progression. And most of the puzzles dont make sense either so the dev felt obligatory to make an official walkthrough. The guide itself is very lengthy and wordy, which is as boring as solving the clueless puzzles. More than that, the dev didnt even bother to explain the game mechanics. So i felt lost from the get-go.

I dont want to gatekeep anyone from trying this game. If you love puzzles heavy point and click games, this one might be for you. But if you are someone like me, you would feel sad because this game is a missed opportunity. I still want to experience the story!

or me it's simply 10/10. So maybe you dont need to read other people's long writing that tries to nitpick the game. I put many hours in so far and im freakingly loving every minute of it. My takeaway is you experience it yourself. Dont take anyone else' opinion for granted. I loved and finally 100% it!

the first 20h was a hit and miss for me, but oh boy after that, the game got better and better and packed with fantastic content!

best played when you feel like going brainless and killing things

- Though verified, it is not Steam Deck friendly. There was this puzzle that would require physical keyboard inputs. Some mini games were better played with a mouse too.
- wonderful arts and music
- the jokes flew over my head. I didnt get most of them at all. Not sure if it was because the dialogues were intended for native English speakers or sth.
- the mini games were mostly fun!

their writing was not my thing, so i didnt feel motivated to continue. But i must admit that the game had a lot of charm.

Easily my 8.5/10

To begin with, the negative reviews are fair enough, but remember that how we experience the game is different. When playing it, I didnt feel bothered by the things other people had pointed out. I ended enjoying the game thoroughly 🤷. On another note, the music and art were simply brilliant! the game was quite linear for a MV game, or shall i call it metroidvania-lite? However, it was still a fun journey.

- wonderful, well-incentivized exploration. It gives you the itch to explore more and more.
- dark-soul boss fight vibe in a way that you feel it’s fair when you lose and you want to try again and again. (but ofc you can also lower the difficulty. The normal enemies are not hard and can be avoided)
- Psychological horror/lovecraftian flavor
- Axiom Verge’s feeling (just personal feelings. It makes me feel like im playing another Axiom Verge game)
- All weapons and upgrades are meaningful and useful

The only issue is its 360 degree movement and control. You need sometimes to get used to it.

- nice voice acting
- very engaging to the most parts
- there are some plot holes and stupid decisions. Better keep your brain elsewhere when playing it. Still fun to play, nonetheless.

A kind of game where you can forget all of your problems and go hitting things.

Fun, simple and immersive!

Couldn’t get past the beginning. The abrupt senseless story telling really killed the vibe. The camera movement in battles is dumbz

This game does both Dai and Dragon Quest Series dirty
