why the fuck is the honey queen playable

A new modern F-Zero game would slap, but this is actually a pretty great alternative. At least it's being acknowledged unlike other dead Nintendo series.

I have no need to watch the Movie anymore. I already know SpongeBob and Patrick repeat the racing levels multiple times to get all the Goofy Goober Tokens.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA So good. So I was looking forward to this game for like over 3 years or so right? Been loosely hearing wind of it's development and peeping any little morsels of information right? And you would THINK that in some way shape or form id have some type of expectations for how much Pizza Tower does with being a platformer of the warioland-esque variety? I am here to Tell YOU!... it exceeded pretty much every expectation i had LMAO

No really like the game is that good :O !!
Ya girl already fucks with ms paint art style and this really shows how much humor, emotion and vibe you can give off within it. Pepino's expressions and movement are played up in the best way possible and every drop of that is seamlessly imbedded into his platforming kit
and oh Boy it takes full advantage of that with these levels

There's about 5 floors in the tower, which means 5 arcs of the game with a handful each and then a boss fight, pretty standard fare- HOWEVER u also have secret platforming levels to look forward to that are embedded into the level layout and some of them are pretty fun to stumble upon while you maybe messed up a jump and then others you will probably be gnashing your teeth out of your skull before eventually caving in and looking up some kind of a guide to find the remainder of the damned things (not that thats inherently a Bad thing i mean they are called SECRET levels its not like theyll snitch themselves out to you

I think the only thing abt this game at all that kinda pisses me off is when u do a misinput in this game and pepino bounces off the ridge or goes doink against the wall, it can be DAMNING in the later levels Good Loooooooord
but thats more of a nitpick than anything else

final thoughts:
a new favorite game of mine and blew expectations out the water, and GOD hype as fuck conclusion. I never even sunk my teeth in any of the games it drew inspiration for but this was intensely pleasant

I have mixed feelings with Bayonetta 3. Not only is the combat just entirely different from the rest of the series, but it's also the biggest game with a surprising amount of overworld to it. The story is entirely out there, and the ending left me entirely in a sour spot to how I feel with the rest of the game. If I had to sum it up, Bayonetta 3 does more good than bad, but it went too far left field when it comes to it's story.

Overall my biggest dissatisfaction with Bayonetta 3 just comes down to how they did the combat. Each Bayo game has plenty of weapons and combos to satisfy you with, but Bayonetta 3 adds an extra element with infernal demons. It's not that I don't understand why they did this, especially with the raising of stakes, and the enemies you take on being far bigger, but I really don't like this addition to the formula. When it comes to puzzle solving or how they did the boss battles, I feel like it absolutely works well with the theming and gameplay. The problem more so shows up with the movesets that Bayonetta has, as the demons occupy their own moveset entirely separate, but feel super dull while playing with it. As well, a lot of the movesets are stuck to one whole weapon with the added problem of changing Bayonetta's "Y move". Often it doesn't matter to most casual audiences, but the way Bayonetta 3 forces you into these movesets without having a reliable button to go to in order to extend your combos or rely on while changing said moves means that the game does far less with combinations than previous games had. Attached to this problem it's entirely possible to just stick to one weapon and one kind of demon thru out, but it gets entirely too dull due to the high empathize on demon playing, as they use very simple moves. The demons also occupy some unique gimmicks, and ideas when it comes to gameplay, but they just don't shine when going for pure platinum medals. In other words, Bayonetta 3 gives you a lot of neat and shiny toys that just don't play as well as the ones you are used too.

The over world and presentation however are absolutely stunning. I can not express how well they captured the atmosphere for each dimension or overworld area you go off to, and largely it feels to me like the Bayo crew really wanted to show off their creative juices for being gone too long. Each new design of Bayonetta is worked out to hit all my lesbian neutrons while at the same type captivating the player to how different each one of them is. The music and sound through out also hit extremely well from demons punching to the weight of hitting the floor to just blasting bosses with bubbles. Everywhere you turn to in Bayonetta 3 is a place that begs for attention to your eyes in a way that neither previous Bayonetta games have captured.
As for the characters, I feel really mixed with it. Again the characterization for each new Bayonetta is absolutely amazing, and if any characters need praising it's each of these new Bayos. The problem that the new Bayos have are more of a time issue over bad characterization. Like honestly, you can't just give me an Egyptian Bayonetta, and not make me want to play as her, and while some will argue that the skins we get and customization is enough, I'd argue that we got plenty of time with yo yo Bayo that made we want to have more of that. I don't know how they could do it, but honestly even just some dlc would have been nice. Regardless, it's not nearly as big of an issue as Viola though. While I absolutely love Viola as a character, and want to bully her, my major problem with her comes from her gameplay. As effectively the secondary character in this game, Viola has a great personality, but she just has issues with her gameplay that largely are a problem with her witch time. For one, Viola absolutely needed to have a 360 activation effect because without it, it really makes it hard to active to any good degree. As well, while Bayonetta got plenty of weapons and demons, the only thing that Viola got is her starter kit of a sword and Cheshire. So the previous problems with dull gameplay are kinda doubly marked for her. This also causes a lot of her own chapters to feel like a bit of a mess as the game has no problems diving you into challenges you are very ill equipped for. This kinda makes me hate the idea of replaying this game because I know her chapters are just so undercooked when it comes to gameplay, but I absolutely love her as a character. And while you may think that's the end part with Viola's problems, a lot of her backstory and interactions with characters feel off. There is just so many times where it feels like we are getting to know her better, or figure out her previous timeline that it just gets sideline for some mystery. While I don't inherently mind the mysteries, she does have connections to Luka and the science doctor that are just straight up not answered well enough to be present in this game. This also is legitimately not addressing the ending of the game which makes a lot of things just sort of connect for no reason, and I mean that in every sense of the word. Luka is randomly there, new elements are entirely introduced, and everything just kinda ends because the game wanted it too. Like I'm not saying everything about the ending is bad, just that it's perplexing in a bad way, you're getting random characterization that just wasn't pleasant. I can see so many of these elements work if given enough time, but they just come in too fast and too hard. It's even to the point that I literally have to consciously mention Luka because honestly he's not in this game. I don't mean that literally, but on character interactions he's at his absolute lowest point, and it's a shame because it seemed like they wanted to do something with him, but just didn't have enough time. Sadly, the last two characters that fulfill any major role, the main bad guy and Jeanne just don't have enough screen time to really give you anything. I like Jeanne, her levels are a nice break from the rest of the gameplay, and mostly inoffensive, but she just doesn't get screen time. The villain is sadly treated worse as the most we know about them is they are simply a being that thinks they are better than everyone, and is an actual threat to Bayonetta. I wish I could say more about this, but honestly that's really it.

Suffice to say, I think Bayonetta 3 is a well made game that is better than the sum of it's parts. There is plenty of wonderful moments throughout, and it helps establish a lot of the Bayonetta series moving forward even if it can be a lot. While the combat isn't nearly as thrilling, and the ending can feel like it comes out of no where, it's still Bayonetta. While I won't be replaying this game as much as the previous two, I feel it deserves at least a one through from fans and admires alike.

I'd give it a higher rating if it wasn't $60, or a limited release, OR ADDING SOMETHING MORE THAN A SOUNDTRACK AS A BONUS

A collection of great games, just not a great celebration of these games, if that makes sense.
