One of the best and most polished Pokemon games. The sprite work was amazing and the details such as the drums on the road playing when you walked and status effects being affected by how you blow on the screen were super cool. This is also the game that reminds people who say "Pokemon game did not get easier, you just grew up" are wrong! this game is tough even though I came in hardened from Platinum and SoulSilver.

A classic and one of the first games I have the memory of playing.

I have some memories of playing this as a kid and purposely trashing my truck around to see how messed up it could get. Good game.

I spent hours playing this game as a kid and it was extremely fun. Although the DS version might not be the best technically speaking, to this day I'm impressed by the amount of things they managed to add. This game has a pretty solid story mode with a good racing system. Would recommend it to anyone interested in playing an older DS title.

Not a big fan of games like this but I thoroughly enjoy getting on just to fool around with my friends. In that regard, the game is pretty fun.

Pokemon SoulSilver is a fantastic remake that improves upon the original in every conceivable way and stands as one of the best Pokemon games ever. The sprite works, the music, and the mechanics have all been tweaked and upgraded in ways that do not stray from the intentions of the original but instead enhance them. The game also has even more extra content and minigames than the original which is a welcome addition, and do not even get me started on the walking Pokemon system. Truly a fantastical Pokemon experience.

The game that started it all. I got it on my 3DS and started it but I will probably not pick it up again. I don't think there is a reason to pick it up when Fire Red exists.

Platinum was the first game I decided to play once I got back into Pokemon during the summer of the pandemic. It was a fun experience and I'm glad I chose it to start my Pokemon marathon. Cynthia's pre-battle theme and Etherna Forest's music are some of the best tracks!

One of the classic games I put on my 3DS despite having played the objectively better remake beforehand. I sometimes pick it up and play a little but I doubt I'll ever finish it, but that's not to say this game is bad at all. It is the superior version of all Generation 2 games and still amazes me how they managed to add all of Kanto into it.

I put it on my 3DS and I played until I got to the final part of the story. Haven't felt like playing since but I might revisit eventually.

As a kid, I fell in love with the Pokemon Adventures manga after reading online through scans and was compelled to start playing Pokemon. This was the first Pokemon game that I played and I did so by emulating it on a state-issued, school laptop. Fun times!

Was playing this on my PlayStation and is not too bad. Might play more later.

I would play this game so much as a kid and have nothing but fond memories of it, especially when I would beat my cousins in a race.

I picked up a while ago but got stuck on the apocalyptic future and lost interest.

I loved being able to use different characters but hate how fast stamina drains. Yes, I get how it is meant to motivate you to use different characters, but still. I kinda got tired of it over time and dropped it since some story elements bothered me and the gameplay eventually bored me.
