I think overall I loved the game for its story, but it got quite bland for me when it came to endgame. I hit level 100 with my Rogue faster than I did with my Necromancer that was originally my main. I found for myself Necro didn’t have many builds that dealt with a summoning emphasis to it. My Necro I got to level 62 and just flat out dropped that character. I found the Rogue a lot more enjoying which I found odd because I come from an FFXIV background where I mainly like Black Mage, Summoner, and etc. Now back to the rest of the review of the game sorry about the tangent of Necro and Rogue.
I found the enemies leveling with you quite annoying. It felt too repetitive doing the nightmare dungeons over and over just with different debuffs. The side quests just get so repetitive when you just wanna get them over with. I’m a completionist so my OCD and ADHD gets the best of me. So, I got all the Lilith Altars, completed every single dungeon, discovered every nook and cranny of the map and completed every god damn side quest. I got into this dilema that even if I don’t personally like the game I gotta complete it… and sadly that’s how this game played out for me.
To conclude I did like my FIRST 50 level play through of the game, but only because of the story and trying to initially get that I guess new experience feel out the way… after all that I felt like I died inside lol.
I might be the odd ball in this and I know the whole point of the game is the grind for better loot and respecs and RNG. I just couldn’t do it for this game. I might just be getting tired of grind based games.
I personally don’t think the game is worth $70, if it was $40 then I’d respectfully rate this a bit higher to like a 4 or so. Yes, I know the game barley came out for about a week and a half or so and I know they have season passes and etc. coming… I’m just tired of some games I love having season passes and all that jazz.
