The first third of the game is absolutely phenomenal - Jack is an all time great villain for the series. Everything after you escape from the house is a downgrade, but certainly not bad. The game's most blatant flaw is the lack in enemy variety, with stupid tar enemies that aren't particularly scary or satisfying to kill making up every enemy encounter that isn't a boss. Certainly flawed, but a successful and much needed reimagining for the series.
