Overwatch will always be a very special game to me. The memories I have with the constant marketing I would receive, the massive hype upon it’s launch, how addicting it was, even to it’s decline due to balancing issues like Dive, GOATS, Double Shield, Role Queue and the massive lack of content that started in 2020. Despite it’s lows the game remains one of the most fun game ever, I’ve spent so many hours playing with my friends (especially when they added Cross Play) and polishing my Tank Comps. I really hate that this game had to get shut down for it’s sequel that I didn’t even enjoy during it’s Beta, I made friends thanks to this game and that’s just something I can’t say for a lot of games. But hopefully the future will shine bright when the PVE launches. Until then, thank you for the great memories Overwatch.

If HeartGold & SoulSilver didn’t exist, this would be my favorite game in the series.

First game I finished in quarantine and I couldn’t pick a more perfect game to keep myself busy, easily the best game in the series. Perfectly paced and a gigantic improvement over the first one.

2016

The best modern shooter I’ve played in recent years and just one of the best games ever made, pure fun from beginning to end. Absolutely love everything about this game.

Played through it, still hate the story. 😒

Used to play a lot of MK2 & MK3 in this, thanks to this collection I have a gigantic appreciation to the classic Mortal Kombat games, just wished it did have MK1 though.

This was the earliest Arcade Fighting Game I’ve played and it became a stronger appreciation years later. Maybe I just love it so much cause my man War Machine took the spotlight for once and was extremely busted. Either way, it was still chaotic & fun.

This was one of the earliest games I played in my childhood and I've never been more hooked to a game like this. It doesn't age well with its controls and AI behaviors being a bit too frustrating especially for the campaign, but I will always have a soft spot for this game for being my first PS2 game, one of the earliest games I've ever played, one of the first games I was addicted to to the point of unlocking all the characters, skins, minigames and stages. I literally went out of my way to get Twisted Metal Black on my PS2 just to get Agamo's 4th Costume.

I’m going to say this, this is the best Mortal Kombat game ever made, I know due to the direction of the story after this game isn’t good at all and maybe some arguments pertaining to the klassic arcade games or even Trilogy, Deception, Shaolin Monks & MKX may come to other people’s minds when thinking on what’s the best MK game and you wouldn’t be wrong, all of those games have their strengths that make them great games on their own but I still think MK9 still holds up on its own, from a well structured story to an entire Challenge Tower with 300 Towers plus more with the Vita version, solid gameplay being the first of its kind to be built as a Tournament Fighter, the best character roster in any MK game and finally a modded balanced patch called Trilogy Edition which tones down many Top Tier characters like Kabal & Kung Lao and buff the Low Tiers like Jade. This game has it all, I promise you that if this game was released in a Next Gen System with a really good online (similar to the newer NRS games outside of Injustice 1) this game would breathe new life again. The only issues I can think of aside from the balancing of this game certain issues with the story mostly with the Lin Kuei and how they handled Cyrax, how Sonya never competed in the first Tournament at all while Liu Kang was the sole kombantant, Sindel massacring all of the good guys rather than space their deaths within the story (finding better and more tragic deaths for characters like Jade), and just how Shao Kahn is a big dumbass in this game while Quan Chi is taking charge, there are some great moments in the story, the tension between Liu Kang & Raiden was handled great and very Civil War esque you understand the conflict of both characters and how Raiden’s actions leave a burden on him, the chemistry with the characters like Smoke & Sub-Zero, Stryker & Kabal, Kitana & Jade, Liu Kang & Kung Lao, and many more are all fantastic. My other issue is the fact that this game has (or had cause the servers may be down at least on PC) one of the worst online connection of any fighting game, that’s why I say if they rereleased on a newer hardware with a better netcode like GGPO it could be one of the best fighting games ever made. Seriously, give this game a try if you haven’t already.

This was the version of UMK3 I played the most prior to the Arcade Kollection’s release. I completely missed out on the Xbox Live Arcade port of this game but this was a perfect substitute.

Game isn’t anything special and the story is a major step down compared to how amazing Book 2 actually is from the show but goddamn this game is still fun especially with your friends, the combat is surprisingly well done, collectables are extremely well hidden and I think this was one of the first games in my childhood that my friends & I were actually competitive towards each other thanks to the Earth Rumble Six Combat Arena and with an actual fighting game roster. Again, this game isn’t anything special and I’m sure if we had an Avatar Tournament Fighter or Action Adventure game it’ll easily beat this game if done properly but as it stands, its the best Avatar game to date.

Overwatch is one of my favorite games of all time but I am aware that the game is flawed in numerous ways. On one end it is one of the most fun and addicting games to have fun with friends, but on the other end it can be an extremely frustrating experience due to the balance of this game and how inconsistent the power creep is. Toppled with some toxic players here and there and this ruins the overall fun nature of this game. The extra content in Arcade exist and they are either really fun such as the Archives event or just alright like Free for All or Quick Play Classic, there's only so much this game offers before you get bored and not bother afterwards. With Overwatch 2 focusing on PVE I have faith that the game can be more fun than its predecessor but only time will tell.

While this game is extremely fun to Platinum and your first playthrough is always a joy there’s way too much waiting and wasting time until the plot decides to move on especially in the beginning.
