This is Suda51's Gremlins 2. It's an amalgamation of nerdy stuff he loves, and he cares not if people don't have any idea what he's referencing. Characters have conversations about Takashi Miike movies, and there are references to Black Rain and Space Warrior Baldios.

Kaname Date is the most mess-up character in video game history. He's a perverted detective with terrible fashion sense. His closest friends are a horny superior officer, a gay man who loves magical girls, a talking mechanical eyeball, and a 12-year-old girl with the strength and temperment of an adult male chimpanzee. He's obsessed with husbandry porn, and he gets superpowers from looking at dirty magazines.
An excellent sci-fi adventure/strategy game that comes together with an incredible cast of characters and superb twists and turns. The less you know going in, the better.
