Played this on PSP. Absolutely dogshit game. Bad game. Not a good game. It's already bad enough that this game is associated with JK Rowling, but even disregarding that fact this game is a violation of the Geneva Conventions. I would rather be subjected to scaphism than have to play this "game" ever again.

This game was good, but it just didn't quite live up to my expectations. Gameplay wise, it's pretty standard fare for an 80s JRPG. Nothing too complicated, just grinding and going through dungeons and towns. Music isn't anything to write home about. Story is also pretty basic: kick all the Daimon cult generals in the nads to stop them from reviving Masakado. One thing that really impressed me about the game was just how big it was. I really wasn't expecting the game to be as long as it was. It honestly kinda wore out its welcome after a while. Although, I can't deny that I found the world very charming and humorous at times. Overall, I think this game was kinda just okay, but I'm still glad I played it. I know this series has great potential since I played Zero and really enjoyed it. I also hear the other games are a huge improvement over this one, so I look forward to playing them in the future.

I swear to Deus, this game is one of the games that made me who I am today. If for whatever reason you haven't played this game, please do so. It will change your life forever and touch you in ways you've never been touched before.

One of my three favorite games of all time. This one was the one that got me into JRPGs.

It's just monkeys rolling around in balls and getting bananas, 10/10!
