I didn't think that tetris could ask so much of my graphics card

It could've been a total failure considering the restrains and limitations of the DLC, but somehow they made it work. The amount of tasks they give you is refreshing and satisfying to tick off, the song selection is on point, and if you're invested in Steph as a character you'll love reading her messages, exploring her trauma (in relation of your choice for Arcadia Bay in the first game) and trying to find her a partner on dating apps. Played the base game on Game Pass and I used Reward points to pay the DLC, so not necessarily the ideal person to talk about value, but I'd wait for a sale. $12 for a 3/4-hour experience that takes place in the same place and has off-screen VO for almost all of it seems pretty steep.

The only time I wasn’t entirely immersed in this game was when I heard a Wilhelm scream in the first pivotal moment. Completed this game in one play through and as someone who hadn’t played this game in its prior iterations, it was a worthwhile and entertaining experience.

This game honestly surpassed my expectations. When I heard there would be voice acting I expected it to be cringey, but it turned out to be very good, with some of the voice actors sounding exactly like the irl actor they were emulating. Story segments didn't follow a very linear structure like Complete Saga, but were like pseudo-bridge segments that were also open-world? Its difficult to categorize but it was an interesting take on the formula. Ignored the sequel trilogy when I played it, first 6 movies are perfectly fine

Felt like a kid again after playing Eps 1-6 and reliving the days of the OG Lego Star Wars. Blessed to have it.

Great game, but feels almost too big whilst also being too small, idk

For me, nothing can replicate the charm that The Complete Saga had. It was one of my favorite games growing up. The Skywalker Saga, however, does a very nice job incorporating new technology and graphics into this historic franchise. The semi-open world elements are a nice addition, but something does feel a bit off not having Dex's diner (or something similar) as the main hub for the game. The voice acting is actually very strong, but to replicate the old feel, I would love an option to turn that off and use the classic Lego mumbles and grunts instead. Overall, with all the expansion packages, this is a game that has delivered fun for a long time.

Really liked this as an oblique sequel to Before the Storm. Though I can't shake the feeling Steph is like one dude at Deck Nine's pet character. Can I call that Ahsoka syndrome? Pure speculation, sorry.

It's the video game equivalent of a bottle episode - two rooms, almost no other character models, they don't even show you the cat to avoid animating it - but the radio thing makes it work. It's pretty impressive how it can do a lot with so little.

I think I liked True Colors more than Life is Strange 2. There's nothing like a quaint, rural town in Colorado to bring that Life is Strange charm along with some cool color powers. True Colors brought back an intriguing mystery that made the first game so engaging which was largely missing from the second installment. I will eat these games up whenever and however I can, so they better be making more.

Though the "your choices matter" narrative-driven adventure game genre is old hat at this point, I still think this one is a worth a playthrough. The mystery itself is engaging enough but shortlived; where True Colors really shines is in its character interactions. Alex is a delightful character to be in the shoes of - both fantastically written and performed. It's also worth a shout out to the facial animation in this game which looks really good and adds a layer of dynamism to the character interactions.

Though there aren't a huge number of environments and the game is pretty short, it's clear the game was put together with a lot of care and attention to detail. Wandering the environments never feels like a chore as there's always lots of little nuggets to find. Also worth noting is the wonderful LGBTQ representation on display in the game, it's really nice to see queer people just existing in the world that the devs have built. Definitely worth the few hours a playthrough takes.
