Picked this up at a local games store on a whim. This game has some super rad visuals, the character design for the bad guys is cool as hell. The gameplay is fairly typical of an FPS, with the addition of a cover system that never works quite right.

To me, its biggest downside is honestly the boring protagonists and their faction. You're Space America(tm) with late 00's tacticool vibes. Your character is a boring shmuck, no two ways about it. I didn't give a fuck about the good guys in this game at all.

All in all, if you find it for a cheap price, i'd say give it a go. It's pretty cool looking and the level design isn't half bad, either.

Easily one of the cooler point and clicks out there. Love the atmosphere and narrative. You really feel like a Lovecraft protagonist how you have to investigate and keep notes of everything. The animation and the art is really cool, too. I love their use of portraits of famous actors like Vincent Price, makes it so much easier to keep track of the characters and gives it a more cinematic tinge.

This is my favorite game of 2022. A great survival horror that plays like its genre's classics, while expanding upon and streamlining the form. It is every part System Shock as it is Blade Runner, Silent Hill, or Dead Space. I can confidently place this title on equal footing with all mentioned.

This is the game Postal 4 wanted to be.

I fucking love this game. It is the best game ever, PERIOD.

I've included several links to get multiplayer working, help remedy the sound loop bug, unlock everything, and some good old fashioned cheat codes.

Probably the best Rainbow 6 game. Was a ton of fun for years when playing with friends. The cover system works well and every weapon has a unique feel. Unfortunately the sound loop bug has made it very difficult to enjoy online. If anyone has any other fixes for the sound loop bug, or easier ways of getting multiplayer running, let me know. Also, if anyone has a link for the Comcast Event map, please message me.

Here's a savefile to unlock everything in the game (Still works as of 2022):

Here's a list of settings to help the sound loop bug happen less frequently (Turning off Vsync might not be the best option for some players) : https://steamcommunity.com/app/15120/discussions/0/616189106755568359/

This reshader fixes the sound loop bug for some players, somehow. Validate files after install to avoid some... interesting bugs.

If any of these files go down, let me know, and I'll gladly replace these links with my own files on MEGA or something.

Some cheats, you will have to enable the "Use Xbox 360 Controller for Windows" option in the controls menu, and do these inputs at the pause menu during gameplay;

Super Ragdoll Mode:
Press A(x2), B(x2), X(x2), Y(x2), A, B, X, Y.

Unlock GI John Doe Mode (Blue tracers, Red enemies):
Press the Left thumbstick(x2), A, Right thumbstick(x2), B, Left thumbstick(x2), X, Right thumbstick(2), Y

Third Person (Story mode only):
X, B, X, B, Left Analog Stick (x2), Y, A, Y, A, Right Analog Stick (x2)

Love this one. All the same controls and stuff as the SVR games. Only downside is no character creation, but Benikage is probably the character i would have made anyways. The over the top finishers and entrances and stuff are so much fun, too.

At this point in development, Hellish Quart fills the hole left by Bushido Blade some years ago. Faster, high impact combat, its really intense and really fun. Can't wait to see what they add to it! I hope multiple weapon choices per character will be a thing.

Would have been better if they never tried to relate it to Saints Row at all. Completely unnecessary for it to have anything to do with that franchise. As a game itself its core loop is meh and doesn't have enough variance as the game goes on to stay engaging. Mid.

This game kicked ass. It was like TF2 if you could mix and mash different class abilities, weapons and character sizes. The weapons were wacky DIY gags with all different implementations. Some are traps, some are stealthy, it makes it so you can have a ton of variance in your playstyle. I remember a lot of people would use the bat wings with the large player model to goomba stomp people. I, personally, used the little girl with the invisibility so i could hit & run motherfuckers like the vietcong.

One of my all time fave multiplayer shooters.

The mechanics in this one encompass what i feel are the best foundation for a fun shooter. Third person, lock-on aim, high mobility and platforming. (I.e. variations of the classic Tomb Raider formula). In particular, the dual pistols allow you to lock on to two enemies at one, which kicks ass. I really enjoy the combat in this game.

In fact, another thing i love about this game, you have a fairly diverse set of weapons. A flamethrower, darts, heat seeking missiles, i forget what else. But those listed are really cool.

As for downsides; It does get hard later, i think a wider FOV would have helped with a lot of that, but this is from 2002 so we work with what we're given. What is more frustrating later on, really, is some of the platforming. Some of these levels should have been cut completely, if im being honest.

The actual bounty hunting is awesome in the early game, but also gets annoying later. Luckily, you don't actually need to catch every mark.

I wish 1313 actually got made, i'm sure we'll see something similar anyways though, whether you play as Jango or Boba or even the Mandolorian (sry havent watched it to know the dudes name) im sure we'll get another SW game of this style sometime in the future.

At the risk of upsetting some folks, i always felt this was the weakest entry in the series (so far). Everything about this one felt stale, the absurdism of 4 hadn't been taken to it's full potential yet, and as a result it felt like a cheap, hokey shadow of SR2. I also really dislike Steelport, and the cartoony aesthetic just doesn't do it for me in this one.

As for positives, I do like the melee combat, the luchadores are fun, and i enjoyed the professor genki activity.

Trash. There's a few moments that are good in concept but 96% of this game is absolute ass.

Play Postal: Brain Damaged instead

If you want a successor to Postal 2, perhaps Cruelty Squad is a better answer to that. This ain't it.

You'll either love it or hate it.

While its clunky and sometimes really easy, the atmosphere and narrative is very fun. Its a mixture of a handful of Lovecraft stories, primarily Shadow Over Innsmouth. I had a ton of fun with this one, and did on a recent replay as well. It has a good mixture of exploration, social encounters, combat and stealth. I really like the moodier "peaceful" portions, but the combat is fun too.

I also think its ironic that its considered a cult game.
