beautiful and unique game that makes you feel like a genius and an idiot.

solid secret finding simulator. great ambience, fun items, and i liked the colours a lot

Lovely aesthetic, interesting story, golf sucks.

God damn this game actually made me more frustrated than Getting Over It or Jump King. The golfing felt so wrong. The ball would either fly way too far, or barely move at all - it didn't feel like I had control. And yeah you have to wait ages after each shot for your guy to fly over to the ball. Oh, I also switched to story mode early on because I was playing this for a video. Gameplay was still super annoying though.

I liked the idea of the radio and thought it was implemented pretty well. But at times the storytelling could be a bit overwhelming. There were fragments of the story told under each level name (which were in the same font, making things extra confusing), there were also the diary entries, and then there was the radio which played constantly over the top of these other things, which made it really hard to focus on reading anything.

Yeah idk the golfing just made me wanna rip out my hair

I have officially beaten all the 2D Zeldas! (besides four swords i guess(wait does phantom hourglass count as 2D or 3D))

This was super fun! I like how they had multiple gimmicks in this game instead of just one. The cloning and the shrinking were both neat and were never frustrating. This is a more linear Zelda game that felt smaller in scale and I like that! Just a cute little romp where you get to play as Toon Link. There were also some really good dungeons and mini-dungeons. Wind Palace was sick just on the aesthetic alone.

Being the last of the 2D Zelda games I played, there just wasn't really anything groundbreakingly new for me. I've seen it all before :P Also, just like most Zelda games, there are moments of confusion where I can't figure out where to go in the overworld between dungeons, which are my favourite parts of the games.

Overall, this is still a super fun romp and severely underrated! I literally have never heard anyone talk about this game.

I played for about 3 hours and it seems to be a clunky game with no smoothness and always spamming the same buttons in combat. The game only looks visually remastered, the gameplay mechanics still feel 25 years old. It doesn't have enough motivation or gripping to keep me going any further. In short, I didn't find a purpose in the game worth pursuing.

I love Getting Over It and have beaten it hundreds of times. I was excited for this game, it looked the most similar to Getting Over It out of any other rage-bait game out there. Living up to the "foddian" name it talks about in the steam description.

But the core gameplay is just too annoying and painful. Like it literally hurts my hands to play this game for more than 10 minutes. Having to hold down the buttons and yoink my mouse super fast and hard to swing is like the least ergonomic activity in the world. So I'm refunding this game sorry.

The dev really did nail the style of Getting Over It perfectly though.

This game fucks bro.

Beat it and then went to 100% the game and DLC because I just wanted to keep on playing.

Yeahhhhh it's just not for me. I think I'm not really a 3D platformer fan in general, so you can take this with a grain of salt if you want. But Penny's Big Breakaway was janky as hell, had some super broken sections (the boat boss fight), and the general platforming I just couldn't get into.

It feels really weird. I'm sure if you're a speedrunner and you are really good at using the yo-yo, it feels great. But I'm not, and it didn't. It's got the momentum-based platforming of a 2D Sonic game which feels good for about 2 seconds before I start falling into the void. When going fast, I would fall off so many edges or go flying into the abyss. But if I go slowly, that's boringggg and it feels like I'm playing the game wrong. Overall the platforming just never felt satisfying to me even after my seven hours of playtime.

Also I don't really like the artstyle or cutscenes or story or characters. Which is kind of a shame because I LOVE Sonic Mania and have played it so many times.

i thought this game was boring and slow but when I started speeding through levels I had more fun with it. the beginning levels took me so long to beat because there are FOUR different types of collectibles so I spent agessssss on each level looking for them. but I gave up and then it became more fun.

and I gained some respect for the game as it went on, because damn they really do have a unique theme and gimmick for every single level. that's really cool. and compared to NSMB2 on the 3DS, this game is way more complex and the mechanics are more fun. It has more controls than just run + jump :P

But overall this is still kinda mid and eh it's just a mindless background game.

also this is my third time writing this because my PC keeps crashing uh oh
