Interesting trappings and wears the obvious influence of Papers Please on it's sleeve, but it fails to tutorialise the mechanics properly, making it more an exercise in frustration than anything else. A shame as clearly a lot of effort went into the trappings.

The best Smash to date - undoubtedly Sakurai has mastered the art of this franchise. Enjoyed a run through the majority of the single player mode, but I always forget this isn't really my bag any more. Nonetheless, worth owning for the soundtrack jukebox alone.

Undoubtedly a classic, but in an era of Super Mario Odyssey the movement clearly no longer holds up the way it once did. Still worth a play to see what was once at least a generation ahead of any other 3D platformer, but no longer worth finishing.
