masterpiece of game and audio design, super banger soundtrack, and incredibly rewarding gameplay loop that heavily rewards learning from mistakes. story is a bit cringe but can be easily looked over as all cutscenes are skippable and the gameplay is obviously the main sell. total recommend to anyone even remotely interested - while the game can be quite hardcore on the highest difficulty, easy mode makes it quite accessible for anyone that plays fps and is willing to improve at the game!!

Giant heaping pile of wasted potential; a very rushed game.
for any previous pokemon fan, it's still quite the enjoyable game, but world design is extremely linear (to the point that the main villain's lair is a fucking elevator - that's it) and many pokemon were cut out, limiting team-building and removing many people's favorites. I'd understand in the case of Legends: Arceus, where extra effort was applied to bring the included pokemon to life with new animations and details, providing good reason to cut many of the little guys, but this game seems to drop a large amount of them for no reason, which is such a shame. Not to mention, it cuts the Mega Evolution mechanic from the last two mainline games, greatly weakening many pokemon (both design-wise and in battle) and hurting competitive potential.

surprisingly decent for gacha trash, i think it's great if you ever enjoyed the trainers from the pokemon games as it does a great job providing new stories, themes, and outfits for them. better than swsh LOL

Gacha. It's fun to play and the music is lovely (I could fall asleep to the Liyue Harbor Night theme). But the game will try its hardest to get you addicted and squeeze money out of you.

all charm is lost due to change in development teams, and though the game is enjoyable enough, good luck beating the damn thing when it randomly crashes and corrupts your save file. lmao
