I was really excited to finally play DNF Duel after months of seeing really good footage of it and, well, it's certainly flashy! It looks gorgeous!

It's also my fighting game nightmare scenario. Huge moves freely available on almost every character, massive strings and loops that don't amount to much more than wasting the time of the recipient, and utterly bare defence mechanics. It's the dream game for people who only use training mode to get longer and longer combos and if you like that, then DNF Duel is for you. But it surely isn't for me. What a damn shame.

really makes you Feel like a Clock Tower

Sitting at around 10 hours with over 150 matches played online and both story and arcade mode finished I think its time I talk about this game. Never in my wildest dreams would I think that I would ever see a fighting game based off one of my all time favorite MMOs but here we are and to top it off its a freaking 8ing game.

Now 8ing is going to be crucial in this review because I feel like the community has been acting very weird with this title. For so long people have been voicing how they miss MVC2 or they miss when fighting games were fun and busted and yet we get a game from those people that is yes shocker..... Broken and busted BUT very fun and now people are complaining and saying "oh this game sucks its to broken for me to enjoy it". I honestly believe people don't know what they want or they just said what they said because it was cool to say it because this game is a 8ing game in and out and its a blast to play.

Now would I recommend it for the full $50 price tag? idk its hard to say if you are a fighting game fan you probably don't even care about the price tag and already bought the game but if you are a casual player I would say wait for a sale because this game can be very hit or miss with people.

Overall I love this game I think its a very fun and insane fighting game and I have been wanting a crazy fighting game like this for awhile and I am just happy to get another 8ing title.

Project M and its community is incredibly important to the internet and gaming as a whole. It proves that no matter what hurdles a company throws you, dedicated fans and talented people will always overcome them. Following the depressing closure of Project M due to fear of a C&D from Nintendo, from the ashes rises Project +. It's everything you loved about Project M except with a plus. More stages, more gameplay tweaks and of course: Knuckles the Echidna. Installing Project+ isn't as complicated as one might think, so I definitely think it's worth a play
