The only Resident Evil I've previously played in its entirety is 4, and VII is a completely different beast. I don't play a lot of horror games, so this made for one of the most genuinely terrifying and unnerving experiences of my life. This brought the "horror" back to this series in full force. As scared as I got, and however many breaks to the pause menu I took to catch my breath, I always wanted to press on. I always wanted to unravel the mystery of the Baker mansion and see it through to the end. The scares never feel cheap either; relying heavily on atmosphere and expertly crafted sound design to maintain a constant sense of dread. It's a challenging, rewarding, survival horror game that had me gripped from beginning to end. Although I will say the final few hours did drag just a bit. But it's an experience I won't soon forget...and makes me very excited to play RE VIII.

Banger, While not as good as the THQ games its a step in that direction. The new gameplay mechanics are fantastic, the Showcase for Rey was amazing, MyRise stories were fun (Aside from the poor acting), and MyGM returning is hopeful but with lackluster options in it its disappointing.
Great Work 2K, don't get lazy again guys.

This is truly the best game ever made, the haters are just Mario fans that cannot see true masterwork on a game.
The game running at 10 fps almost 90% of the time? Design Choice.
Sonic Falling through the map if you even step on any sand? Underrated mechanic.
This is a masterpiece and I will not tolerate other wise.
