mario kaaa't wiii! wahoooo

an interesting little roguelike, though not a hugely deep one. the highlight is the gameplay, which can get a bit confusing being fast-paced, but is always good times nonetheless. it's pretty easy to hoard cards, but that's a neutral point in my book
the characters are quaint but the story + world are pretty sparse, which is unfortunate when just based off of aesthetics they could have some really cool stuff going on. one of those games you play for the fun of hitting buttons, i guess, but hitting the buttons here is fun, so

not having a guitar makes playing guitar hero pretty difficult huh

the unbothered city builder we all need. none of this in-game currencies, resource management, waiting for timers to tick down, messing up your flow... just Cubes and Tiles, pure and simple

thank you rollers for sparing me from the humiliation of having to aim
i don't play a whole ton of shooters (or touch my switch much nowadays) but a long evening bout of splatoon with friends is always a joy. as long as you turn off the motion controls i forget that setting exists

only rhythm game i've ever deleted out of rage

mandatory "my bisexuality" joke here
insane character design, insane visuals, insane soundtrack. just style all the way down. i've convinced probably half a dozen people or more to play this game just off the look of it alone... if you don't go in convinced motion inputs are impossible, etc. and enjoy the process it's hugely accessible and great fun to learn; gamefeel smooth as butter, at least to me. certainly it's got its flaws (i hear a lot about the online multiplayer but i'm too broke for ps+ so screw it) still i think it's a great investment on the whole, especially if you love your visuals and are down to get cozy with a limited moveset.

[ipad] seriously one of if not the best rhythm game on mobile — brilliant tactile control scheme + story/gameplay integration above and beyond for the genre. tracklist is pretty good all around but i had a robo/neko/ivy/sagar bent. if rayark didn't have their fingers in all this AI business i'd still be playing it ~5yrs on
