Honestly, not nearly as good as pretty much any other MGS title, and that includes my disdain for MGSV.

Many of the elements just feel lesser on many levels to their contemporaries in newer games in the Tactical Espionage Action genre, and while that is to be expected, it also feels like it misses the mark in MGS1 in a way that I found underwhelming.
