Bio
Backloggery has my hoard. This is just games I'm playing going forwards.
★☆★
Mostly like retro games, VNs, and RPGs. Unfortunately am a life-long Nintendo fan.
I play a lot of weird stuff that is gifted to me to stream, so don't mind the mishmash.
★☆★
I rate games based on my expectations going in, and in comparison to other games in their scale and genre. It's a slightly loose rating scale, so don't read too deeply into it.

I tried to get into it for the sake of my friends who play it. The story was interesting, and I liked the character I made a lot. But even with the support of people who are well versed in the game, I just found it pretty frustrating and confusing to play, so gave up on it eventually.
I'm generally not a big fan of MMORPGs, but not for a lack of trying, as I really do want to get into them. Still, it wouldn't be fair to give it a specific star rating. All I can really say is that my main thoughts while trying the game were "I wish I was playing a single player Final Fantasy right now."

One of the Pokémon games of all time...
Honestly, it's one of the most fun I've had with a Pokémon game in awhile. Something in my heart wants to give it a 4.5. But it's also more broken than my half-functioning copy of Red. If it just was allowed to cook in the oven for longer it could've been one of my favourites of the series, but as it is... well I still really loved playing it, but the fact I was able to put together a lengthy glitch compilation, a year after it released, requires dragging down the score.

I wanted to enjoy this game, but it feels a bit too "I want YouTubers to talk about how cool the lore is", rather than just focusing on making a good story. I wouldn't say it's /not/ worth the very forgiving price tag, but I was never able to get invested or interested in anything happening thanks to the YT and Lore pandering... which is a problem in a walk & explore simulator.
