I'm not big into Animal Crossing in the first place, just not my kind of game, but it just takes so many steps back from its predecessor that I couldn't get into it and don't see myself coming back.

Hot take, I actually like this game much more graphically compared to New Horizons. But on top of just looking better, it is such a fuller experience and if I were persistent enough, I could have seen this becoming an all-time favorite. As it is, though, just some fond memories.

Like a bit more than the original, though I'm not as into it as the rest of the world seems to be. Just played to many other 2D platformers, I suppose? Either way, a seminal and simian game, glad I played.

No monkeying around, this is easily my favorite Donkey Kong game. I recently replayed Tropical Freeze which cemented that I just plain like this one more.

Very nostalgic game for me, as is many Wii U games. This is pretty often touted as the MOST CREATIVE AND OVERLOOKED 2D PLATFORMER OF ALL TIME and such, but personally I prefer Returns. Still an outstanding game, though!

Somehow feels like a higher and lower score than I should give it. I guess that just goes with games that are this old.

The best remake of all time question mark?

The best of the classic Donkey Kongs and I refute any DK Jr. slander.

Probably a worse game than the original DK, but more addicting for sure.

Probably won't ever finish this, but damn, what amazing graphics, I almost played through it all for that alone.

Wish I could do 3.25 stars, but I'll round up for this baby. It's piss easy, but creative enough and with such great writing that I can't help but enjoy this game. Wish it had/would get a sequel.

Buggy as all get out, but that's part of the charm, love. I live, breath, eat, sleep, and poop Pikmin.

Get the hell out of here with your fake game design PhDs, this is the peak of gaming.

If you ask me what my favorite Pikmin game is, I'll give the simple answer and say 2. But in reality, it's probably this one? Between the huge quality of life improvements, gorgeous visuals, and, most of all, the utterly addicting side content, how could it not be this one?

Bias, that's why.
