Got for my Son but think he was a bit too young as he found finding the objects a bit tricky and, ultimately, got bored. I enjoyed the feel of the game though, got good vibes.

I completed this one, unlike the first game. Yes it's a bit too long, yes the mechanics don't change much after about the fifth hour, but Rabbid Peach, Rosalina and Mario rule, so therefore the game is good.

Pretty chill but found the controls annoyingly tricky. Putting fields side by side should not be difficult, it is here.

It's alright. Interesting battle system, one or two too many upgrade systems, convoluted story that ends abruptly and oddly, I assume with ideas of a second game that doesn't seem likely to ever see the light of day.

2016

Mostly my son played this. Very chill, swim with fishes and solve the occasional puzzle. He liked the names of them coming up in "meditation" mode, so file this one under Educational.

A very angry game. From that I can gather from Brazil, understandably so. Mechanics are fine, end boss is annoying.

Wholesome. Delightful. Positive. All of these are more. An excellent, heart-warming game that has simple but very effective mechanics, terrific music and just generally put a smile on my face.

Played through with my Son over the course of two hours or so. We both really enjoyed it. Excellent music, looks great, combat has some thought required but also nothing full on (at our level anyway). Can't see us replaying it, which I know it was kinda designed for but very much enjoyed one playthrough.

My first Pikmin game and absolutely loved it. Controls great, characters are adorable, really has the "one more game/day" hook completely nailed. To nit-pick, the end, end game boss was a pain in the backside but outside of that it's brilliant. 100%'d all the areas bar the final one, which says it all really as who had the time for that stuff normally?

Close to being an amazing game. I really liked the story, emotionally I feel like it hit the right tone for dealing with loss. Characters are interesting, gameplay is Pikmin-like and therefore great. I feel like it didn't need the second round of "go find things" though, just over-stretched the mechanics and travelling for me. Overall though, great.

Been watching my son play through this. It's half a "my first 3rd person adventure" and that part is neat. But there also is a lot of reading/text which he struggled with, and eventually got bored with and by the end he was just clicking through the talking. EDIT - I then played through it myself and it's just adorable. So if goes from three stars for him, to four stars from me.

Bonkers game. Interesting characters and a charming story but at the same time it was a stutterery mess at times, and froze on several occasions needing a reload. Very interested if he/they ever make another game though.

Played through whilst in the airport/on a flight. Neat little world, funny characters, decent bosses, and all round good couple of hours spent.

Hadn't heard much about this game but I enjoyed it. Every attack takes bullets/stock so even a basic attack you have to think about. Normally that would turn me off these days but I actually enjoyed the mechanic. It's a pretty basic, but enjoyable RPG. Not the longest either, think I was about 10 hours, so a decent break from the 60+ mammoth games out there.

A really great little Rogue lite/like (get confused with which is what). Fluid controls, cool characters, every run is useful for repairing your ship and neat little QoL touches like not having to be on exact platforms to open chests. Great fun overall.
