Input and combat animation stuff is why I haven't picked this one up. Watching the gameplay in more detail, the jump and dash and general animation around critical controls looked really rough, which implied to me that a lot about platforming or combat could become frustrating and feel rough. It's hard to want to make time for games that aren't excelling there because honestly there are so many 2d action games coming out with really responsive controls and animations at this point.
