ThreeLeggedBike reviewed Taiko no Tatsujin: Drum 'n' Fun!
Base song library is atrocious if you don't want to spend money for harder songs, and holds up very poorly to the PS4's equivalent Drum Session. You can't customize your don or turn off skills on other selectable characters if you don't want to play with buffs.
I give it a pass for reintroducing me to rhythm games and one of the 2 first English releases since Taiko Drum Master in 2002. Later updates also eventually brought online 2p and matchmaking mode which was nice. Don't play with an unmodded tatacon, and don't use motion controls if you're actually trying to get good

Very cute art, presentation, characters, and everything with massive song library to boot, which makes the difficulty of it being a 9 input vsrg really funny to me. Not much to say, it's very cute

ThreeLeggedBike reviewed Don't Starve Together
Has a special place in my heart so it's hard to get mad at. Even with the intent as a brutal zero guidance survival strategy game, I think its become so bloated with new mechanics and content it needs a serious rehaul with its approach. It feels like outside of veteran players who've had the chance to get used to difficulty changes and learn the game in lighter versions, it's now unnecessarily harsh to the point of demotivation to introduce new players without the help of a wiki or guide, let alone integrate exploring whatever new things gets added each update
It's incredibly fun for goofing with friends though

It's alright, maybe I just don't get the feel for the charting or need to play more. A personal nitpick is that I wish they did more with visuals/presentation among other rhythm game cabs

ThreeLeggedBike reviewed Pokémon Legends: Arceus
Good step in the right direction. One of my favorite takes on a spinoff title closer to the core gameplay of mainline games, I really enjoyed the actual aspect of catching pokemon during my playthrough. I still think as an open world game, the shoddy graphic/technical quality and bareness of the environments really needs to be fixed, especially since this seems to be the direction future pokemon games are taking

ThreeLeggedBike reviewed Lobotomy Corporation
Frustrating and tedious, hate this game. Definitely have gotten mad over random slips and mistakes ruining a run, but success is possible and the rewards make it worth it. I also enjoy learning about the handful of characters you meet.
Only complaint is occasional UI, visual, and mechanic errors making some equipment/stat descriptions misleading

I love taiko man.

Good upper body exercise if you use the cab sticks. The difficulty rating scale needs an update badly. Max difficulty should be upped to at least 12 stars vs 10, and there should be an indicator that star count is rated across its difficulty level vs all levels overall

ThreeLeggedBike reviewed Monster Menu: The Scavenger's Cookbook - Deluxe Edition
Art style is cute, the feature to make custom portraits of your party members was neat. Though incredibly lackluster story with repetitive gameplay, but the cooking and prepping mechanic was interesting.

essemkato reviewed Doom 64
uh, take it or leave it i guess. mostly carried by the new art and sound design that is way more cohesive and atmospheric than the original two. unfortunately the levels blend together around the middle of the game (64 really likes its six-layer switch hunts) and some of the balance changes are genuine head-scratchers. like why is the pain elemental SO strong lol
