A delightful game. The levels were fun & creative. The game is vibrant, cute. And then SO EPIC. I love how hard Kirby always chooses to go in the final bouts.

Beginning pacing is horrible. 30 hours of little going on. Rex is one of my all time most hated protagonists. The cringe in this game is strong, but the second half comes back for redemption, and gameplay is great.

Death Mark II brings us back to the spirit hunter series' trademark creepiness. While its highs never touch those of NG, or probably even the original, this game does spin an enjoyable mystery. I enjoyed this game myself, but I had a few gripes, most of which are probably explained when finding out the game was crowd funded. The first entry did get decent sales in its release, and NG, less so. I think given the stats, it's pretty cool a third game was released. That said, placing the game entirely in the school makes some sense given the overarching narrative, but I found the variety of creepy locales lacking. Schools are overdone, and I couldn't help compare to Another or Corpse Party. I wasn't really too into the running around aspect, but I think it does make sense--I remember becoming annoyed with some of the circular backtracking in the dungeon crawling way it was handled in the first two entries. So I think this is an improvement in gameplay held back by the budget. It could've had more atmosphere, I think. I think this style is almost too cute, contrasting with the horrible deaths & grotesque things this series is known for.

Will never understand the hate for gen 7 games. Great character writing, a bit of a switch up with the totem battles & no gyms. EPIC final bosses. The supposed difficulty people crave is present, with totem fights being set up well to counter type advantages. Pokemon as a franchise will never please the masses again, and gen 7 is the proof.

If only the performance were better.... story, characters, new mons, lots of good stuff going on. It's the most time I've spent with a single Pokemon game since I was a kid. Tera is by far the best gimmick we've ever had, and I will miss it dearly.

Note of Bias: I have an inhuman tolerance for games performing badly, as long as my data is not destroyed, I really don't care.

This game rocks. The zany dialogue. The intensely dramatic cutscenes detailing the king's backstory. The mUSIC. And honestly the scale of the levels is awesome. There are some fun little gimmicks to some of the levels, that I enjoyed as well. The thing that makes it a bit tough is how well you can master the sort of odd controls, sometimes I was sort of fighting against it. But overall I just really had a great time with this.

I wanted to like this game a lot more, but just can't. The story is interesting, I like the odd combo of investigating + action game. The grading system is the number 1 thing that doesn't work at all imo. It only really rewards you for forcing you to go through a strict set of actions, whereas something like Bayonetta or Devil May Cry is more expressive in your combos & allows you to experiment and make yourself better--it really doesn't matter if you are good or get better, because you get a top mark just for using every different monster at your disposal. I found this extremely irksome. The game also goes a bit too far in trying to be everything at once. The stealth segments weren't fully baked & just weren't really any fun compared to other parts. The final boss was super epic, really enjoyed that, and the cast was cool. Overall I just think it falls short of its potential.

It's definitely missing some sauce. I think the game accomplishes what it's trying to do--it's a cute point & click mystery game for kids. Sometimes the plot is a bit more interesting (mostly later chapters). It's nothing incredible or genre defining, but to me it felt like it accomplished its goal, even if it is a bit lacking.

This game absolutely surprised me. I had heard a lot about it and decided to give it ago and I was HOOKED. It does my favorite sort of thing, where the game is constantly giving you new ways to accomplish your tasks, and innovate progression. There is so much packed into this game. The vibes are great. Pixel art / animation is incredible. Bancho is a chad. I love the gameplay loop, and the story is good too! I didn't expect it to be so crazy. Extremely looking forward to the Godzilla DLC!!!

Great gameplay & really good multiplayer. The story mode tho. RIP.

It's got its moments, but trying to force open world aspects onto this series didn't pan out very well for me & my friend who co-op'd this game. We were just like..... cool.... we have to surf this empty expanse for another 10 minutes.

Incredible characters, great gameplay, and a soundtrack I could listen to at any time. This game fucks. I wasn't sure if they could pull off TWEWY without the DS, but they managed to translate the gameplay in a way that makes sense, and is quite fun. I loved it start to finish. Criminally underappreciated.

It's not anything crazy but I played the shit out of this as a kid, and I have a big nostalgia for it lol.

edit I also think it's the hilarious I'm apparently the only person to have logged this game ever lmao. Thank u parents for buying me this.
