What a beautiful mess of a game. Massively unfinished, often janky and dated, but still super engaging and compelling. Incredibly slow-burn, to the point where I was ready to give up 20 hours in because nothing was happening, but I’m very glad I stuck it out.

A charming but flawed adventure game. Beautiful aesthetic, an interesting if clunky plot, and an undeniable queer throughline. Awkward movement and some illogical puzzles take the shine off, but good vibes.

I enjoyed most of this. The simplicity works mostly in its favour, making it easy to pick up and play without over-complicating mechanics and progression. The final boss totally soured the experience for me though. There had been challenging spikes throughout the game, but the level of difficulty here just wasn’t fun. It often felt completely random whether I’d do well or not, and having to start from the beginning of a multi-phase fight each time just sapped the enjoyment. A challenging boss is good when you feel like you’re making progress. This didn’t let me feel that. A shame, because I’d have liked to finish the story, which was light touch but compelling.
