Very simple in concept and mechanics, yet very deep in how you can execute the levels.

The levels are mostly super well designed, mostly because they nail one thing that I think that's really important to puzzle games: you can break down levels in "sections" in your head, effectively piecing together multiple smaller puzzles, that together form the solution to the level.

A cute and hard puzzle game that will be worth your time if you like the genre, and has a satisfying amount of levels to sink your teeth in.

Right away I jumped into a server with a bunch of people speaking different languages. Got stuck a lot, also got carried a lot by a few random pros, while I even managed to help other newbies a little! After a bit more than an hour of many mistakes and teamwork, I finished my first level, together with everyone spamming gunshots in the finish area. We all thanked and congratulated each other. This game is definitely an unique and memorable multiplayer experience.

Could be way better than what it is! It has some homages to classic mega man, but it definitely does not live up to it in gameplay quality. Because like classic MM, this game is hard. But unlike it, not in a good way.

The level design seems like it could go on the right direction, with a decent amount of areas to explore, but some sections are just straight up unfair and frustrating, and exploring itself is also a pain when you need chips to do special movement and you can just run out of them. Boss fights are either dumb easy or plain stupid hard.

The chips system is kinda interesting but I feel like it could be made a little better. Having to grind for multiple copies is tiring.

Some of the pains of the game can be overcome by grinding (to buy health refills, or drop chips), which is boring.

The music is easily the best thing to come out of this game, go check it out! The graphics are alright, they are very colorful and charming, the "computer world" aesthetic of BN is just always a good vibe. And the story is usual Battle Network stuff I guess, haha.

Overall, it's a game I can only really recommend to hardcore mega man fans, and even those might not really enjoy it, but it can be interesting to see what it is. And honestly, there's some enjoyment to be had if you don't go mad from the frustrating parts.

kind of dumb fun until you hit the usual crap gacha has, like timegates and boring repetitive daily tasks. at least i got to play as iris :) love u bby

what.... WHAT AM I FIGHTING FOOOOOOOOOR

aight back to network transmission with me

A love letter to classic games, and even manages to be way better than them. Lots of stages, beautiful graphics and music, sweet gameplay, and great multiplayer & replayability value.

It's a very simple game, a bit shallow but makes up for it with charisma. The mix of different types of game mechanics gives it an unique vibe.

The art is really good, specially in the platformer sections. And still about those, they can be cheap with difficulty sometimes, but it's never something way too frustrating. The spell system sucks a little in the sense that only one of them is really good from my experience.

Overall, a fun, short, and novel game, which I think is worth checking out if you're exploring the SNES library.

Feels weird to 5-star a free-to-play game, but I think this is a reeeally well-done card game. Super simple and quick, yet deep enough to formulate strategies and combos.

The fields mechanic give a ton of variety and uniqueness to each match. You'll get into a lot of situations where you just wanna see how the the current one will end up!

The snap mechanic is very smart, it elevates even more the level of mind-game that is already quite present in this game. Overall, it's a very fun game that provides a lot of memorable and surprising moments!

If I was to be unbiased, this would be prob a 3/5. But I love trackmania, played it since childhood, fun game racing car goes vroom thru wacky tracks.

The game is a bit janky. There's a fair amount of collision bugs, but I don't think it's a big deal. In the end, it's trackmania on the freakin DS, and it's fun!

A rock-solid upgrade from the first game. It addresses many of the issues I had with it, and is overall a more polished game. Such are the comparisons I have:

- Battle encounter rate is friendlier
- Asterisk-type chips addresses some of the chip flexibility issues
- Styles system that build up on the player's own way of fighting
- Story is still very simple, but the side-characters finally participate more in it
- World map is MUCH better to navigate

And did I mention the endgame? What I thought that would be just a few extra hours ended up summing up to 10 hours of extra content. It is VERY difficult though, and a bit too grindy sometimes, but overall I like it.

The game has a few things I really don't like, like a boring questline near the end, or a long stretch without saving, or grindy/annoying post-game sections (which is kinda ok to be fair, it is post-game). But overall it's a well-made and fun game! Just like Mega Man 2 improved a lot upon 1 and established the franchise, I think the same goes for BN 2. Although I'd say I prefer Mega Man 1 over Battle Network 1, haha.

A charming action-rpg/adventure with diverse scenarios and characters, featuring an enticing gameplay loop of going into dungeons and restoring towns. It's a simple game, yet it has soul.

Lots of options and diversity from game to game, balance is good enough for a midcore player. Very addictive and fun! New sets change up the game a lot, keeping it always fresh.

The gameplay is the best in the series in my opinion, there are also plenty of stages and they are fun! My main problem as a long-time fan is the story, and how it seems they have no idea with what to do with this series.

But anyway, if you wanna go bananas with gorgeous pixel art, jamming idol music, and frenetic 2D action combat, this game will scratch your itch.

This game is unpolished and with tons of rough edges and weird design "choices". Also it's a MMO and a gacha at the same time. Then how the hell is it so fun???

It's genshin but with actual multiplayer and less budget. And also a better setting (sci-fi > medieval fantasy). I will keep playing as long as I'm having fun then discard it as soon as it's no more. Unfortunately these games are made to trap you psychologically, but at this point in life I'm trained for this kinda shit, haha. Also, thank god for skip button.

1996

Very fun game!! It's DOOM but in fully-realized 3D. The increased focus on platforming is nice, I even wish it had been used even more. Weapon diversity is alright, there's not a lot but all options have their flair. Personal favorite is the grenade launcher, which plays very uniquely due to projectile physics.

I feel like the game drags on for a little too long, though. The good level design manages to keep things interesting, but the ratio of enemy/mechanics to level amount leaves a bit to be desired. The bosses are very underwhelming too. The final battle, which gets very hyped up by the game through the texts after you finish each chapter, is quite the letdown (although the way you kill the final boss is cool!). And after a big boss on the first episode, I expected to be more of them on the other chapters, but nope.

Despite all that, it's a fun game! If anything, it doesn't do much to expand on the DOOM formula, but the execution is good enough to make it a worthwhile play.

The previous Kirby game, Return to Dreamland, set a new standard for Kirby games, in regards to level design and gameplay feeling. It's no surprise all games that came next used the same engine! Kirby Triple Deluxe, however, adds its own unique mechanics, setting itself apart as an unique enough experience.

+ Beautiful level design, frequently adding new gimmicks to keep it fresh
+ New copy abilities, and they are all quite fun
+ Supernova Kirby is fun! And the levels use this new super power-up in interesting ways
+ LOTS of small secrets to find! And you're not required to find every little one for full completion
+ Lots of nods and love for the old games. If you're a longtime Kirby fan, you're in for a treat
+ Beautiful art style. Every element in the scenario carries that childlike joy and wonder
+ Awesome music. Some from Return are back too!
+ The climax, as always in a Kirby game, is packed with hype!

I could probably find more points, but this should be enough. In the end, I love Kirby, and this game makes me love it even more! If you like 2D platformers at least a little, give this one a try! It's not challenging at all, so the casual crowd will have a good time, and the more hardcore crowd will get enjoyment from going for 100% completion.

Kirby is an ever-shining star in the galaxy!
