This really didn't bring anything new to the table, it just added more to the story. I'm glad that Eliphas got more characterization in this game though.

I'm still a bigger fan of the first game's base-building and all, but I appreciate the cast of characters in this game. Some are arrogant, others are cautious. Some Space Marines having nothing but disgust for humans, others valuing them as the heart of the Imperium, I enjoyed that individuality it brought.

I always enjoy more player options, and Soulstorm delivered by bringing in the Dark Eldar and the Sisters of Battle, but it felt very weak, storywise. A lot of it felt like convoluted excuses just to pit different Imperium factions against one another. Some factions would wipe each other out before I even got off my planet, meaning I wouldn't get to experience them for myself. Still, it's not horrible.
