this remake does a great job of bringing the game up to modern consoles while also reminding you that you are in fact playing a game made in 1999 (i am not sure if this is a compliment)

was disappointed with the way they evolved the combat, it felt like they just tacked on a few new mechanics that were rarely ever useful beyond the bonus stages they were introduced in while not addressing the underlying jank of it all. the stealth sections are also terrible.
however i'll let that all go because this game is really really good

mechanics can be a bit wonky at times but don't let that distract you from the fact that this game is really really good

great evolution from the original lego star wars games, and tons of stuff to do beyond the campaign (though some of it gets pretty tedious). 70 hours in and i only had just over half of the kyber bricks (lost my save file though)

many of the puzzles were either trivially easy or obnoxiously tough to figure out with little in between, with that being said however i really enjoyed this game.
