current top 20 favorite vidyas, RANKED

a list of games my cluttered brain really loved/enjoyed. i will talk about each and every single one. list may change overtime?

lost judgment is, at the moment, my favorite video game ever (sometimes it juggles with fsr or gta4 depending on my mood.) ryu ga gotoku studios finally made the perfect title, the story is amazing, the case growing into a huge conspiracy while linking it all together within a small community. the gameplay is perfected, as the dragon engine is finally utilized brilliantly in combat, it feels so polished. it'll be hard for rgg to make another beat em up like this (especially as theyre about to stop making them!)
~lospass island is the finest resort on earth where you can forget about time.~

i love flower, sun and rain:murder and mystery in paradise. it feels like a game that, concept wise, is awful, but with the power of our man goichi suda, manages to make something brilliant! the vibrant soundtrack accompanies this eccentric island of characters and world. yes, it's a walking sim, and a puzzle solver (which isnt too hard!) but everything surrounding the game makes you forget about it.
the title that made me overcome my longlife fear of the horror genre.

silent hill 2 has been praised to hell and back, from it's mystifying soundtrack, endless interpretations of its world, aesthetics, etc. i was all for it! this game also made me more open to just... horror in general so big plus!
the best story told by rockstar games.

grand theft auto is amazing, a series that constantly tries one upping themselves (until v) and always succeeds. 4 was their peak in worldbuilding. nearly all the spots on the map are used up well, definitely my favorite video game world of all time. the american dream never felt so rich!
a story built to tell a message to the world.

much has already been said of the writing (which is god tier!) but i also feel like the basic gameplay loop isn't bad. an unforgettable experience in my eyes
keep living, ichi.

although it would need some tweaking to be perfect, like a dragon is rgg's foray into jrpg's and it's my favorite jrpg of all time. i love the characters, it feels so cozy and honestly the yakuza formula still works so well here. looking forward to infinte wealth being my favorite game ever made!
"you were everything to me... and all i ever did was kill you. i'm so sorry, i'm sorry..."

this is my favorite fps game ever. if you dislike shooters, play this. you'll like this one. amazing atmosphere. love exploring the dirty and ugly subway with its oddball characters. i love the darkness itself, how absurdly edgy it is, i love the powers that make the fps experience really unique. i love it all. they'll never make a game like this again.
