Totono fans explain why their VN is good without mentioning DDLC challenge
"I might be into cuck porn, but unlike you peasants I'm not a DDLC fan!"

Truly the bridge between OG Higurashi and Umineko... A must read for fans, vastly better than the OVA that skipped out on all the expanded lore.
Edit: Do NOT skip the excellent Rena chapter, ignore the speed readers. It has some fan service but it's no worse than the main chapters, and skipping it will mean missing a great scene towards the end revolving Rena and how she influences everyone to always try their best.

if u don't get filtered by the loli/shota stuff and like exploration you'll have a ton of fun, great game, the music goes hard as fuck too. i'd recommend skipping hello abyss now that it's possible and going back to it after beating the game bc deep in abyss is so much more fun.. i hope this gets a continuation with a bigger budget when tsukushi finishes his manga, i'd have loved to explore beyond layer 5 and seeing the narehate village. the jank was fun and i love tiare
edit: turning off comments bc you guys are weirdos

Every now and then I play a fairly old game that retroactively makes decades-worth of titles that came later within the same classification a little less impressive - that they're just not being very ambitious by comparison.
Napple Tale does and accomplishes SO MUCH despite being built on top of a relatively clunky foundation of iffy platforming. Radiant and imaginative and emotionally charged and I just adored it. Thank you Yoko Kanno for the new favourite soundtrack
