Cool concept, mediocre and frustrating execution

You have five super sidekicks games on the same system. Why would you ever play this instead

What if they made puyo but super underwhelming

Such an ingenious concept that works way more well than you may expect

There sure are 3 OVAs for this game

Just play neo turf masters instead

I love having a 0.2% chance to get good units because the game made beasts useless and theres 64 classes where most of them are bad.

Also agility is insane

what the actual fuck was this game

Probably the best megaten game at the time of it's release despite very much not feeling like one. It has some annoying issues like its slow pacing at the start, having to talk to specific npcs for progression etc and the encounter rate/moon phase rate, but give it some time and you'll find a charming snes rpg with a v enjoyable story and fun characters. It truly feels like an adventure and I'm convinced it would hahe been a classic were it to be localized.

Also the soundtrack has some absolute delight

Beat 7-7 deathless. Get on my level

The music creator is for sure the highlight in contrast to the sort of unengaging main gameplay. Still, the visuals during gameplay are pretty rad

It's an absolute classic for a reason and it's influence can't be overstated, but with it's very short length it relies a bit too much on arbitrary progression and pixel hunting. Additionally it's lack of music and rather stale visuals could have been improved on even at the time.

Now this HAS to be the last bible... right?
