solid gameplay, with laughably cheesy writing. maybe not a masterpiece but there was never a point where it wasn't fun. had to install some mods because pc port but it wasn't a huge deal

hysterical game. vaguely janky platforming but i love the vibes

would be in my top 5 if the story was actually finished. masterpiece in all respects

better than it has any right to be

your honor they're in lesbians

2020

i could tear into this game in so many ways. the dream world segments don't do much, and generally bog down the plot. the combat is just okay for a turn-based game. etc. none of it matters. i think this game tells one of the best stories in gaming. the last couple hours were breathtaking

it's rare to come across a piece of media nowadays that so openly screams of hope. everything about this game made me want to keep living. some of the platforming is janky but the story and characters are so rich that it was well worth it.

gotta love 2 minute synthpop vocal track looped over 3 hour 7 phase boss battle

neat game for what it is! items are interesting and good vibes. it feels like it's hiding something from me

it's like if heroin was F A S T. story is genuinely solid despite the somewhat cringy dialogue. gameplay is addictive.

classic indie platformer. bangin' soundtrack and just some really interesting uses of the gravity mechanic. i want to study it

really solid!! creepy vibes. no idea what the plot was but there were a lot of cool moments and puzzles that were never super challenging but always very satisfying

it was. fine? not meaningfully interesting in any way. plot was just kind of whatever and i wasn't really there for it. the grab-pack is a fun mechanic! kind of. it's a little janky. also that last chase sequence was just really bullshit. it's complete trial and error and that takes away from any horror it might have had. wasn't expecting a good experience necessarily but somehow this game was just extraordinarily mid.

this chapter was a little better? got more story which was still uninteresting but the puzzle designs are kind of neat. green hand my beloved... really really don't like mommy's design and the fact that she sounds straight out of a bad porno. i wish she would stop talking forever. oh well. at least i didn't have to listen because there were no subtitles this time. grappling is absolutely broken, in a bad way. most of the minigames and the final chase (which seems to be a running theme in this franchise) were bullshit, though i liked the part where pugapiller was there. he's my bud. graphics are still great and the death-by-meat-grinder was very cathartic and well-animated.

way longer than the previous parts, but to make up for it: a solid half hour of gameplay buried in a mountain of shit. there's a sequence near the start and a boss near the end that i think are actually really cool and well done! otherwise, more of the same. catnap is built up to be this huge villain and then doesn't really do that much and then dies. visuals are good. glad to see the return of subtitles so i can actually figure out what's going on. still don't care about the lore though! it's mid
